After everything that happened, I was dreading home already. I was no longer in a stable state of mind and was pretty sure that any more push would crumble me down completely.

"Do I even have a choice?" I snickered as I continued on my tracks.

I entered through the door and could hear the static from the TV.
Mae had an obsession with staring at the TV static for hours and being lost in her thoughts.
Phaw had tried to make her quit it but a few harsh words had disheartened him in the end making him give up.

I silently passed through the hallway but unexpectedly enough was stopped by mae.

"Porsche" She called softly.

I entered the room.

"Yes mae?" My gaze was fixated upon the ground. We barely ever talked, hence I did not know how to react to it.

I heard her get up from her chair.

"There was a call from hospital today that you fainted on the road" She continued.

A faint light lit up in my heart that maybe the incident had woken up her dormant motherly feelings. However, the light was extinguished in an instant.

A sharp piercing pain sheered through my head as I felt a hot fluid gushing out.

I touched my head and found blood on my fingers.

Mae had hurled a vase at me that had hit my head making it bleed.
My ears had started ringing already and I was feeling as if I was just an inch away from collapsing.

"WHY CAN'T YOU LIVE SILENTLY?!! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO CAUSE SOME TROUBLE?!! YOU REALLY ENJOY MAKING US MISERABLE, DON'T YOU?! HOW CAN YOU BE SO SELFISH?! I WISH YOU WERE DEAD YOU WORTHLESS-" But I ran out of the house before she could complete the sentence.

My whole face was wet from the endless tears and the ring in my head was getting progressively worse.

The cold wind hit my open wound turning down the pain by a notch. But at the same time, it made me shiver terribly by hitting my wet skin.

Wierd how the same thing can be the source of relief and the reason for despair at the same time.

The railing of the bridge was ice cold as always and the roads were desolate. Barely a few vehicles ever passed through the deserted bridge because of how unsafe the construction of it was.

The waves were restless and kept hitting the piers from time to time.

I got up on the bridge and looked down at the glistening water that seemed to be welcoming me with open arms.

"It's going to be really peaceful. I won't have to suffer anymore. I can finally rest" I thought.

The thought of the water wrapping around me like a warm blanket was giving me immeasurable courage and hope that I would be in a better place once everything comes to an end.

"May I rest in peace" I closed my eyes as I turned my face up and whispered my 'last words'.

But barely had the jump taken my feet off the railing when I felt arms wrapping around my waist as they forcibly pulled me down followed by a whole torso cementing against my back as we both fell crashing onto the hard ground.

We both groaned and rolled on the ground for a bit before the person got back up on his feet.

"Are you f*cking crazy?" He screamed at me while my face was fixated on the ground.

"You could've died!" He continued.

"Why else would I get up on a bridge for?" I said as I finally looked up.
