"Jeonghan-ah?"

And with one call of Seungcheol, the hybrid bursts into sobs, his tears falling seamlessly off from his cheeks as he turned towards his human to hide himself in his embrace.

Although confused, Seungcheol still was quick to welcome him in his arms, his palms rubbing his back while his eyes now staring worriedly at the three men in front.

None of them knew what was happening, neither did Seungcheol.

Seungcheol though wanted to ask the younger about whatever that made him cry all of sudden, but he also on the other hand wasn't able to gather up the courage to do so. Instead, he let Jeonghan cling onto him, rubbing comforting circles on his back as he whispered few things in his ears, "It's okay Jeonghan. It's fine. They mean no harm."

And at that, Jeonghan cried even more.

The hybrid was hiding his face in crook of Seungcheol's neck, his one hand holding onto the back collar of his shirt while other held on its front pocket. Jeonghan sobbed silently, and the three men exchanged few glances of confusion, uncertain of what should be done at the moment.

Seungcheol though was busy comforting Jeonghan, he patted his hair, caressed it repeatedly, rubbed his back, told him how everything was fine and he needed not to be scared, until Kkuma finally appeared from corner of the room where she was playing by herself all these while, barking at the hybrid the very next second.

The little dog's barks, or maybe words, made something shift in the man held in Seungcheol's embrace, who suddenly pulled away and then glared at her, "Shut up! I know you are more smart in between us, but that gives you no reason to mock at me saying I don't know anything about him! I do!"

"......"

And with Kkuma, everyone else in the room felt that rage.

The dog took a step back, kind of terrified and kind of cautious of the hybrid, and the three idiots on the other hand immediately understood what it was about.

Apparently, they, even though unknowingly, had made Jeonghan think of himself as a fool. And if keeping the form of a human aside, Seungcheol thinks as a point of a pet, he knew exactly why those unaswerable questions made Jeonghan agitated and ludicrous.

"I know about you." Jeonghan says, his red eyes now looking at Seungcheol, almost as if he was trying to prove his point, that he wasn't some careless pet who didn't care about his owner, that in all those time he spent with Seungcheol, he was always loyal to him. That he indeed know him, maybe not factually, but he does.

Seungcheol was quick to pull him back in his embrace, this time closer than before, letting the pet cling onto him for his dear life, letting him tell Seungcheol how he really know him, how Seungcheol was his favourite, how he was worthy of being his pet.

And it was a good think that whatever he said was so muffled that the three men in front couldn't understand anything.

But they got the idea, that Jeonghan was hurt by the banter that they thought was funny. The guilt was visible on their face, the realisation hitting that the bond in between the two was closer than what they had expected.

They shouldn't have said that.

"It's okay Jeonghan." Seungcheol repeats the sentence again, and the trio decides to leave the place, not really having any intentions of hurting the already crying man anymore.

"Hyung..." Soonyoung whispers, finally standing up and only speaking when he gets Seungcheol's attention, "We'll be leaving."

The older felt torn in between his friends who were guilt driven, and Jeonghan who was sobbing on his shoulders. He wanted to make them stay, but the situation didn't look like it was going to allow something as that.
