Lier Kirovsky

(Based on the lore I wrote on Lier's OG information in the MTG Discord server)

Loud, bursting laughter filled the town square, which made Lier want to see why they were so... ear-piercing.

They peeked out from the alley walls, curiosity filling them up.

A fine-looking stallion stood place in the midst of the blaring noises made by the town ponies. The other looked impressed at it. 

It made Lier want to be like that, too. Lier wanted to make everypony be amazed by them, too.

They looked at their wingspan once again, taking in how it was slowly budding back. 

They smiled warmly at what they saw, it gave them a small spark of hope.

"One day, I'll be back to rule the kingdom..." Lier whispered hopefully to themselves.

A sudden exclamation of their name made them turn their head there, almost dropping the small basket of red and green chilies down to the ground.

Lier sighed deeply knowing that it was their dear grandmother.

Lier lived with their grandparents ever since they got banished from their kingdom.

Their deep brown hair shone brightly against the hot, blazing sunlight.

Lier's hair was let down, freely moving with the wind.

Their mind wandered to the gorgeous features of the other ponies. 

Lier looked at their unique hair colors, then looked back at their own hair.

Lier tended to be more on the jealous type when they were younger.

Everything that anypony had better than them would make them want to improve their oh-so-lacking stuff. 

They would push it to it's very limits. It had to be better than anypony's else. Even if it made it break down to small, glintering pieces.

They wanted to fit in as badly.

Lier hummed quietly, making their way to their grandmother.

"Grandma... Can I dye my hair?" Lier asked, looking down sheepishly.

Their grandmother looked at them with a look of approval.

"If that's what you want, sugar." She chuckled.

After that one good look of consent, Lier squealed.

They thanked their grandmother, a shine glittering in their eyes.

Lier happily trotted to one of the shops lined up in their town.

And ever since they had done that, their perspective changed about other ponies. Lier wanted to take everything better than theirs.

A spark of jealousy.
