From Beyond The Ice Wall

III|Start of an adventure

'It wont hurt you'

Nymerias POV

My mothers voice came through the speaker as I stared down this beast infront of me.

"What do you mean?" I said barely above a whisper earning a sigh from my mother on the other end of the phone. "Allow it to bond with you, let it take you where it needs you to go" My mother said in an oddly stern.

"WHAT?!" i called out shocked by her words. "it will all make sense soon my child, just do as i said. You have your bag with a few things, take it and go with the dragon". Her words confused me but i felt as if i should listen to her, i knew i should."I love you" i said before cutting the call slipping my phone into my pocket turning my attention to the now very calm dragon before me.

I walked around to see the dragons eye and it seemed to stare into my soul giving me a gut feeling that something incredibly crazy was about to happen in the coming days,weeks,months or even years.

I had studied and learnt about these magnificent animals for years now, and i remembered learning that they took commands in a different language. I stood now searching my memory for at least one command, when a lightbulb went off in my head.

"Lykirī" i said in a hopeful voice, the dragon lifted its head slightly as if it was acknowledging me

I took a step back kind of shocked it worked. A small smile formed on my face at my accomplishment as i stretched my arm out bringing my hand closer attempting to place it on the great beast.Surprisingly it allowed my hand to make contact with its scales

"Dohaerās" I said with a endearing look in my eyes as this dragon stood before me, seemingly gentle compared to the mass destruction it had just caused moments prior to this

The dragon lowered itself to the ground, allowing me to climb up onto the saddle on its back, i noticed a few clips on the saddle and i took full advantage of that because i was terrified of falling

"Ok you extraordinary beast, take me to your home" i said before giving it the direct command "Sōvēs" i said softly as it stood up entirely taking to the skies flying down south.

I couldn't tell where it was taking me but it was clear we were heading towards the south pole as the air was getting colder,even a bit stronger. It ignited a fire in my heart and soul i had never felt before, it felt like i was where I was meant to be, what the meaning of my life was but i had no idea why.

It was growing dark, leading it to get colder when in the distance i saw this huge wall of what i soon found out to be ice. As we approached this wall i began to see a few structures built along the top of it, people walking along these structures,along the wall.

I began to wonder where on earth was I and why am I here
