Chapter 9 (Travis POV)

This is mine longest chapter yet. I am still working about adding detail to my chapters. My grammar may not be very well. I am working on it. I even downloaded an app to help me. But if anyone wants to help me. Feel free to reach out to me. I have discord. 

I wake up, I look over and see Taylor is still asleep. I know she needs it. God How did I get so lucky? She is so beautiful. I could stare at her forever. Ok, creep I tell myself. I laugh at myself. I get my phone from the nightstand. I see a message from the coach. Shit, shit I am dead. I was supposed to be on campus during training camp. I get out of bed making sure I don't wake Taylor. I walk over to the other side of the room again, so I don't wake her. I call the coach. I know he is going to be upset with me. I hate letting him down. I look up to this man so much.

"Travis you better have a good reason why you missed dorm check. You have about five minutes." Coach asks me.

"I am so sorry coach. I had something come up and fell asleep and forgot to set alarm." I tell him.

"Travis I am not stupid I saw the news. Is Taylor there with you right now?"

"Yes Sir. I know we are supposed to stay on campus during training camp. I will be back in like an hour. Again, coach I am so, so sorry. I know I have to punished for missing checks. I accept any punishment you give." I tell him.

"Look Travis first of all please tell me she is ok. I don't know everything. I still talk to Scott from time to time. Let's just say he told me enough about Joe for me to not like him. I love that girl. I have known her family and her for a long time. But I can't let this go. I need you here with the hour. Come and see me before you go to your dorm." He speaks.

"Yes, sir I understand."

Shit I am in big trouble. I should have set alarm. But I was not thinking straight at all. I need to let her know I am leaving. I hate to wake her up. I don't want her to wake up and I am not here. I walk over to her. I sit next to her. I just look at her a little bit longer. God how do I love her so much in such a short time. I have not said it to her yet. I don't want to scare her off. A piece of her hair fell in her eyes, and I go to move her hair out of the way. She starts to wake up. She opens her eyes.

"Hi Babygirl. I have to go to campus. I was supposed to be there an hour ago. We have curfew. I missed it So I have to go. But if you want you can come tomorrow to practice? I know we have started telling people. We can send Drew over beforehand to check the place out for you. It is safe but I know your team is still going to want to check it out. That is if you want to come."

I really hope she says yes. I would love to show her this side of me. I go all in with and look at her with my puppy dog eyes. I may be a dominant, but I feel like I can let mine normal side out with her. She laughs a little at my cute side. I love it.

"I would love to. Can I though?" 

"Yes, we have wife, kids and others there from the players family. So, you can come. I would love for you to be there. I want to show you off. Plus, it is open to the public. That is why I was saying to send Drew over to check it out. We can also have the team security be close by." I laugh a little. She rolls her eyes. Oh, girl you lucky I have to go. Just kidding she is teasing me.

"Ok I will go."

Great I can't wait. The team is going to go nuts. I look at the time. Shit I have to go.

"I have to go Babygirl. I will see you tomorrow. Please stay out of trouble."

She rolls her eyes again. I hate that. But I have to go so I just let it go. I even tease her.
