...

It felt like a long time before he could wake up again.

His head was pounding and he wanted to throw up again - not that there was anything left in his stomach. It was long empty, and he was well aware of it. What he was also aware of was how uncomfortable he was. After some experimental wriggling, he came to a simple conclusion. He'd been tied up. Again. His wrists were handcuffed to the headboard, although his legs were free for once. . The handcuffs were restricting, but they were better than rope or zip ties.

He still felt woozy and dizzy. The room was spinning, and his head hurt. His mouth felt dry, and his jaw ached - he'd been gagged. Again. He could feel something warm next to him, and turned his head to see. The simple movement made his vision blur and his head explode with pain. He cringed, blinking hard to try and clear his vision. It didn't clear completely, the edges were still blurred and he couldn't make out the fine details, but he could see enough.

It was Kenji. He was lying on the bed next to him, scrolling through his phone. Did he ever sleep? Apparently not. He seems distracted, and hadn't noticed Boruto was awake. His unused arm was wrapped around Boruto, hand resting across his stomach where he'd slipped it under his shirt. The points where his arm met Boruto's skin send waves of revulsion through him. He didn't want to be touched by him. He squirmed a little, trying to see if he could subtly shift to get Kenji's arm off. Kenji noticed, and turned to him, a playful smile on his face.

"Hello, Rabbit. Finally awake?" Boruto scowled at him. He wouldn't do him the dignity of a response. Kenji just smiled affectionately, and Boruto wanted to kick him.

Kenji shifted, sitting up on the bed, to Boruto's relief moving his arm away. He stood up, walking over to his duffel bag which was sat in the corner.

"Are you thirsty?" He questioned. Boruto hesitated before nodding, and Kenji pulled a water bottle out of the bag.

He walked over, and pulled the gag out of his mouth. Boruto shuffled a little so he was more upright. It made his arms ache at the awkward position, but he didn't want Kenji looking down at him. Eye to eye, Boruto would keep his dignity.

Kenji unscrewed the bottle lid, placing the bottle to Boruto's lips. He drank greedily, and Kenji let him. He ended up finishing half the bottle when, looking satisfied, Kenji pulled it away.

"I'll leave the gag out if you promise not to scream. The noise would be irritating." Kenji said sweetly.

Arsehole. "I won't." Boruto replied instead. "Will you uncuff me? They... they make my wrists hurt."

"No, Rabbit. You've proven yourself untrustworthy."

"B-but I... I can't go anwhere- anywhere." Seriously, stuttering? Goddammit.

"That doesn't matter. I know you'd try anyway, Rabbit. I know you, better than anyone." Kenji said, patting him on the head. "I have to go out. Pick up some things for the next leg. We won't be staying here long."

Shit, they were moving again? Where were they going? Where was the end destination? "You're leaving me here? Alo- alone? That's s-stupid, some-someone will hear, I'll make... make as much..." why was he stuttering so much? His tongue felt like lead, the simple action of forming words felt near impossible. "Where... we going?" He managed to force out.
