Chapter 56

"You came here to gently tell me a story, or I need to take the first step ?" Y/N calmly said as Chara, Frisk and Daniel looked at him. "Y-Y/N, can we go now ?" Chara asked, trying to get away, but with Toby and Owen blocking the two ways, and Y/N standing still, even if Chara pushed him, it was a near impossible task to complete. "She's right, nobody's forcing you to fight them." Daniel tried to reason with his friend, but Y/N looked at Daniel, the latter couldn't hold down the shivers and the fright he saw before his eyes.

"Who said that I was forcing myself ?" Y/N said, with a misplaced smile and misplaced joy in his voice. "Remember how you ended up before !" Frisk yelled, making Y/N giggle quietly, but loud enough to be heard from Chara, who was completely scared of her own boyfriend. "The only one who will end up on the ground, will be the one I'll kill." Y/N said, smiling ear to ear.

Chara couldn't believe it, Y/N wasn't himself, it wasn't the kind and witty Y/N she found herself to love. This Y/N was cold, morbid, he wasn't Y/N. Chara refused to believe that.

"If you don't stop, I'll be forced to stop you." Chara said, spawning her red knife and pointing it at Y/N. For a split second, he looked hurt enough to be noticed by Chara. But he managed to control himself, and made himself smile again, his eyes shining brighter than before. "If you want to stop me, do it, plunge that knife into my guts." Y/N said, laughing a bit as he held his arms up, as if he wanted her to do it.

Chara's hands trembled as her knife glowed bright and died down, that cycle repeated as she started to look at Y/N right in the eyes. "You're not Y/N. You're something else." Chara said, focusing on her hands so that they stopped trembling. "What are you saying ? I am Y/N." Y/N said, smiling brightly as he put his two hands on her own. "Just not the Y/N you choose to notice." He said, his voice dead as his eyes stared right into her own.

Something in his eyes was scaring her down to her core. She felt like staring down into a bottomless abyss, each second passed looking at his eyes felt like it was drowning something inside her. "You choose to look at the Y/N who told you that everything was alright, you choose to listen and trust his words. You choose to look at me as a unbreakable person, but look at me now !" Y/N started to say calmly, but yelled at the end.

"I won't let that occasion flee right under my nose." Y/N said, looking at Toby, who just grinned in front of that spectacle. "If I want something, nothing will stop me." He said, clapping his two hands together. "And right now, I wanna kill them." Y/N finished as he launched himself towards Toby.

"That's right Y/N ! Unload your fury !" Toby said as he clapped his magic bubble, making it explode. A wave of blue magic made its way towards everyone standing in that deserted street. Once it hit Chara, Frisk and Daniel, they felt something turn off in their soul, as Chara's knife immediately disintegrated.  

Y/N struck Toby with a right hook, but the latter managed to counter that strike with a blue shield. Nonetheless, the strength of the punch managed to make him take a few steps back. "You didn't think I wouldn't take my revenge over that fight, didn't you ?!" Toby yelled as he rushed towards Y/N, who snapped his finger to create two brass-knuckles. "This time, let's make unhealable wounds." Y/N said lowly as his brass-knuckles shined with a bright purple.

Toby swept Y/N's legs out of the ground, but Y/N managed to jump sideways before Toby's legs hit his. Once he got on the ground, Y/N immediately punched Toby's face, but the latter didn't feel any pain, which made him smirk as he struck Y/N at his right leg, with a stealthily created knife. But before the knife hit his leg, it disintegrated into fine magic powder as Y/N struck Toby's torso with a right jab, then struck it once more with a left uppercut.

Toby was send flying back a few meters as the powder of his hits was unnatural. But, once again, he didn't feel any pain. "Don't you find it weird ?" Y/N said, slowly walking towards Toby. "How sluggish you are ?" Toby said with a smirk as he got up on his legs. "The fact that you don't feel pain with each of my strikes ?" Y/N asked, which made Toby drop his smirk slowly as he patted the place he was struck.
