Chapter 7

Everything with Axl was going amazing. He was truly the sweetest and most amazing man you had ever been with. He bought you lavish gifts anything everything dresses, perfumes, lingerie, expensive dinners he was actually a very romantic person. And the both of you were actually doing a pretty good job at keeping the relationship private. Nikki did question you sometimes like where were you or why you and Axl were so buddy buddy. You tried to convince him you were just friends and you preferred sleeping in hotels then the bus. He seemed to buy it so far but it's probably just because he was always on something whether that was drugs or alcohol or exhaustion Nikki was always under the influence of something.

Axl and you were fast asleep it was around 1 am it was rare for Axl to be asleep this early he said he was a night owl but in reality you thought he was suffering insomnia almost but anytime you brought it up he dismissed it and said it was jet lag or just how he was. You were cuddled against Axls chest. You began to feel him start to squirm around under you which woke you slightly but not too much. His breathing began to rise and fall rapidly. "No-"
Axl whispered under his breath. "No- please-no stop it stop it" Axl said getting louder and louder. You didn't wake him but just stared now fully awake and very worried about him. Axl then bolted up his bare chest still rising and falling rapidly and his body looked drenched in cold sweat. "Ax-" "Go go away Y/n not now Y/n-" Axl said starting to push you off the bed. You got up and began to back away from him. "Axl what's wrong ba-" "Go away
Y/n I-I need a minute" Axl said his voice breaking like he was about to cry. You wanted to comfort him but you knew if he said he needed space you should give it to him. You went to the bathroom and shut the door trying to process what just happened. He must have had a night terror or something. But about what? You could hear soft sobs coming from Axl and you peaked through the door crack to see his hands buried in his face. It went on like this for a few more minutes before Axls cries got quieter so you decided to go back out to the room.
You moved slowly back to the bed.
"Axl?" You asked calmly your voice barely above a whisper.
Axl looked up at you wiping his eyes which were now red from crying.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine can I have some goddamn tissue" Axl said a hint of anger in his voice
You went back to the bathroom to grab him some when you returned Axl was sitting on the bed leaning against the head board with his knees to his chest. "Here" you said handing it to him but still hesitant to climb into bed with him. He wiped his eyes and blew his nose.
"Axl-" you started again but he quickly cut you off "It's my dad." Axl said firmly. You didn't say anything you waited for him to continue which he did. "My dad he uh- he was never really in my life. But I uh had a step dad-" his voice was breaking and tears were welting up in his eyes. "Oh Axl you don't have to tell me-" you said worrying it'd be too painful for him to share. "No no I want to tell you if we're gonna be together you should know." Axl said. You nodded. "He raped me when I was really little and my entire life he abused me and beat me and brainwashed me and he never loved me. Fuck he never even loved my goddamn mom and she was a bitch she never did anything she stay right fucking there and watch that man abuse me but not just me my siblings too all of us" Axl said still crying a little. You crawled into the bed next to him now and held him. Tears pricked out of the corner of your eye. "I'm so sorry Axl that's awful you didn't deserve that" you whispered into his ear. You stroked his hair and kissed his cheek. He still sat motionless with a blank stare on his face. "You probably don't want to be with me do you" Axl said. "What yes I do!" You reassured him. "Y/n I'm a mess I'm an ass hole I never sleep and when I do I wake up in a panic with these awful dreams and I treat everyone I love like shit and you're lying to you're brother for me Y/n you don't have to be with me why would you wanna be with an ass hole like me" Axl said.
"Because I love you Axl I love you I really do and I want all of you the good and the bad I love you Axl I'd do anything for you" you said.
"You say that now Y/n but-"
"No Axl no buts I love you ok period i love you and even if you don't want me too I'll still love you" you said again a little angrily.
"Ok" Axl said.
"I love you too Y/n" Axl said.
"I know you do ax I know you do and we'll get through this I promise I'll help anyway I can" you promised.
He smiled.
You held each other the rest of the sleepless night
