I stared at this letter for quite some time now, noticing that at the end of ECV's words, there was but a small piece of paper that got ripped away from its original place. Odd. I continued to reread this letter to see if I missed any clues or anything at all that this ECV person had left behind, but sadly, nothing else was received from their letter. Disappointed by that fact. I put it away in my back pocket just in case. I let out a tired sigh and started to rethink this. As my mind continued to grasp this new information, I observed my surroundings, noticing that this place looked quite distinct from the other buildings I had explored some time ago. While some structures are always in bad condition, the abandoned office seemed to be in good condition somehow, other than the lack of a good clean. It seems perfectly fine to me. I wonder why that is? I continued to look around the room. I saw a chandelier hanging above with no light to be shown. The floor covers the ground in great fabric of golden silk. Big, thick curtains covered the boarded-up windows. Books were everywhere but the shelves, papers stacked the desks like towers, and the walls were filled with nothing but pictures of maps and notes...? I was intrigued by this, so I took a second look at what was written out on the map. To my great surprise, there was a circle around Arizona and an "x" mark on where I was. I realized that this map showed me how long it would take me to get to Arizona. And if my calculations are correct, it would take me half a day to get there, which isn't long. This was more delightful news than I'd ever gotten in such a long time. I quickly ripped off the map from the wall, rolled it up, and headed to my next adventure to Arizona.
