"Megumi? It's Ayumi." I couldn't help but chuckle through tears at how deep his voice has gotten over the past two years.
"Ayumi? Are you okay? What's going on?" He asked concerningly. I could hear someone else through the phone.
I shook my head, "I'm sorry are you with someone? I don't want to be a bother." I told him.
"No Its just Yuji. Ayumi what's going on?" He said, his tone more firm now.
It took me a minute to figure out what to say, "I need help, I can't speak out loud in case they hear. Can I come over?" I asked.
"I'll send you the address. I can pick you up?"
"No." I told him, "I'll just walk, please."
I could hear him sigh, "Alright, be careful please. I sent you the address."
I nodded, even though he couldn't see me, "I will, thank you Gumi." I said before hanging up.
His house was clear on the other side of the city, but I didn't care. I needed to talk to someone about this and I couldn't risk hurting Satoru or going to Suguru's.
Eventually I made it to his house, knocking on the door.
Megumi's eyes widened when he saw me, quickly pulling me inside. "Ayumi what the hell happened?" He panicked, leading me to the couch.
"I thought I was finally free." I laughed, wiping the tears in my eyes as Megumi grabbed the first aid kit.
Yuji just sat speechless, we hadn't talked to each other since months before I left and haven't spoke since.
"Noritoshi did this?" Megumi's face suddenly bubbled with anger.
I nodded as he wiped my head down with rubbing alcohol, making me hiss, "There's no running away from this one." I sighed.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Megumi asked as he went to stitch up my forehead.
"No." I told him, "Definitely have some bruises but that's it." I shrugged. "I fucked up Gumi. I've endangered everyone. I shouldn't even be here right now."
I could hear him sigh, he hadn't told Ayumi that him and Yuji were now apart of his Dads gang. "You're not endangering us, don't even think about that okay?"
I ignored his comment, I couldn't up but feel guilty for coming here, "Ayumi tell us what happened." Yuji said, grabbing my hand.
He was always such a sweet boy.
"Okay first don't judge me or laugh." I warned. Megumi only rose a brow, pausing to look at me. "So uh, I got back not too long ago, and long story short I've been fucking Suguru Geto."
