⸻ 𝐒𝐎 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍? 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 asked as we pulled away from the hug.

I wiped my tears, sniffling as I leaned back into the cushions, "I'm not sure." I shrugged, "Toji said when we meet he wants me to come over and they're going to put a microphone on me so they can hear what Noritoshi says."

I took another bite of my pizza, "He said he'll have some of his men watch over us and your place. And we'd just go from there based off what Noritoshi says over the next couple of weeks. Toji will relay everything to Suguru so he knows, but still plays the part to fool Noritoshi."

Satoru hummed, "What about the party?"

"Oh I'm getting drunk." I told him, a smile tugging at my lips.

He let out a subtle chuckle, "Is it even safe?"

I nodded, "Toji said since everyone knows you're having it, Noritoshi would most likely figure out you know everything if you were to cancel. Besides, I can see Suguru and play it off." I grinned.

Satoru laughed, "Good because I have to pay the DJ and bartender regardless if I have it or not. I don't want my precious money to go to waste."

I shoved him with my foot, "Oh god forbid!" I laughed.

The next couple of days moved by fairly fast.

I didn't have a race till next Tuesday since my car was fucked up, so I picked up a bartending job at a bar a friend works at.

I didn't need the money, but I hated having nothing to do. I also needed some source of income that didn't come illegally before the government came for my neck.

Tonight was Satoru's party, I was a little nervous, but nonetheless I was ready to let loose and have the alcohol calm my nerves.

"Ayumi?" Someone called my name, making me jerk my head up.

"Keiko!" I smiled, walking around the bar to giver her a hug.

"Where the hell have you been? And the fuck happened to your forehead?" She asked, eyeing me up and down.

I've been so caught up in this mess, I completely forgot to explain everything to Keiko.

"Long story short, Noritoshi and Suguru are rival gangs and now I'm in the middle with my brother and I's lives on the line." I told her, rubbing over my temple.

Keiko shook her head, "Only you." She laughed. "I'm sorry though, I wish I could help." She frowned.

"You comin' to the party tonight?" I asked her, nudging her gently with the rag in my hand I was using the clean the bar.
