One snowy afternoon, as they argued over string lights, Holly accidentally knocked over a bucket of paint, splattering Griffin’s pristine coat. He stood there, frozen, mouth agape.
“Oops,” she said, trying to suppress her laughter.
“You did that on purpose!” he accused, his eyes narrowing.
“Maybe I did. Maybe I didn’t.”
As he stormed off, Holly couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt. But it quickly faded when she realized they were both stubborn enough to drive each other insane.
