Rowan's eyes snapped open, she recoiled sharply, tossing her hand up to shield her eyes from the glaring sunlight that beamed through the window. Groaning, she lifted herself onto her elbows, running one hand through her hair as her eyes traveled around the room. Stretching, she crawled out of bed, lifting her arms up over her head, cracking her jaw as she yawned, making her way to the bathroom on the far side of the motel room. She turned the corner into the small bathroom, sliding her hand along the doorframe. Rowan lifted her head, her eyes locking on the reflection in the mirror.
"Mother fucker!" Rowan yelled, jumping forwards and spinning around. Aliks stood just outside the doorway to the bathroom. Rowan glared, walking forward she shoved him back, slamming him against the far wall. Holding him with her forearm across his throat.
"What the hell do you want?" Rowan seethed, small streaks of amber spreading from her pupils.
"Jesus Christ." Aliks breathed, holding his hands up, the backs of his hands flat against the wall, his pale green eyes bouncing between hers.
"Let me explain."
"Talk fast." Rowan growled, her eyes narrowing, the amber streaks receding slightly but a few small lines remained.
"You're going to Seattle aren't you?" Aliks asked, shifting uncomfortably as he tried to swallow.
"So?" Rowan glared, pushing her arm harder against his throat.
"Fuck me..." He coughed.
"They took your Pack, right?"
"How do you know I'm in a Pack?" She leaned back a bit, allowing him to take a deep breath before continuing.
"The tattoo behind your ear, it's a crest." He replied, gesturing slightly with his finger to the back of his left ear.
"Do you have any idea what you're walking into?"
"Hunters, and they're going to pay for it." Rowan seethed in response.
"Oh god no, love, those aren't Hunters." Aliks shook his head, Rowan leaned back onto his neck a bit more.
"What?" She questioned, her gray eyes narrowing, small flecks of amber glittering in the sunlight.
"See? Let me come with you, I know what we need to do to save all of them." Aliks nodded, slowly lowering his arms.
"And why do you want to help me?" Rowan arched an eyebrow, her eyes flicking down to watch his hands.
"Because they have my sister, and I will do anything to get her back." Aliks replied, genuine anger filling his eyes. Rowan watched as his hand lifted to grip around her wrist, and yet he didn't struggle or fight back.
"Why do you need me?" She pushed, watching his hand.
"Because you're going to get there one way or another, and knowing werewolves, once you free your Pack... It's going to be a bloodbath. I just want to be on your side when it all goes down." Aliks replied, his eyes moving from her face to her neck, swallowing harshly, his fingers resting on the pulse point on her wrist. Her heartbeat was nearly intoxicating to him, he had never felt anything like it. His tongue ran along the front of his teeth, feeling the sharp points of his fangs beginning to slide out of his gums.
Rowan hesitated for a moment, her eyes lifting to meet his again, he instantly flicked his eyes back up from her neck.
"Deal. For your sister's sake." Rowan breathed, taking a step back, dropping her arm to her side.
