- Emily -The sun trickles through my curtains, providing a soft light to my room. Slowly I wake up, sitting up I rub the sleep from my eyes. I drag myself out of bed stumbling to the closet and pull out my work uniform. After laying it out on my desk I stalk towards my vanity, sitting down to do my makeup.
"Ok google, play liked songs on Spotify."
As the mosaic of artists flows through the silence of my room I begin working on my makeup. Settling on a red smokey eye look. As the brush dances across my eyelids, painting them red my mind wonders. Is Liam crazy? Will he really just be outside my apartment waiting? I shake my head as I put the finishing touches on my makeup.
"There's no way."
I get dressed in my work clothes, then make my way to the kitchen. Stopping at the fridge I grab a red bull then go to put on the black Adidas Liam had given me. I shrug on my jacket and grab my purse, and decide to make my way to work. The door to my complex clicks shut behind me, and when I look up I groan in annoyance. Sure enough, there stands Liam. A coffee in each hand."Keys." He orders, his voice monotone as he shoves a coffee at me.
I grab the coffee and hastily hand over my car keys. When I finally meet his gaze his eyes rake over my appearance. I shift uncomfortably, watching as he undresses me with his eyes. Without a word he walks me to the passenger side of his car and opens the door, waiting for me to oblige and get in. Once inside he leans over me, buckling me in himself.
"Safety first.'" He winks, his knuckles brushing against my thigh.
"I have two working hands. I am capable of buckling myself in."
He chuckles deeply, closing my door and rounding the car to the drivers sine and getting in. The drive is silent, and I hesitantly sip on my coffee - annoyed that it's actually good. Once we pull up to the restaurant he parks, when I reach to open the door I find that he's put child lock on.
"Seriously?" I complain as he opens the door for me.
"I doubt you'd let me open the door for you otherwise." He shrugs.
I roll my eyes as he walks into the building with me. "What are you stalking me now?"
He doesn't say anything in response, great. So he is stalking me. I mean it could be worse - he could be some neck beard instead of this handsome rich boy. I continue to walk beside him in silence, I get to my locker and set my coffee and Red Bull on the table, as I take off my jacket he leans on the table."I'm taking your car to the repair shop while you're at work tonight. John said you're working a double tonight and I got you Saturday off so you could come to that party."
I freeze as I shove my jacket into my locker.
"Liam I need that shift to be able to afford rent."
"I'll just pay you your hourly wage for being my date to the party."
I stare at him in disbelief, okay so he is crazy. I open my mouth to speak but before I can John enters the break room, looking annoyed.
"Emily you have to-" John stops abruptly when he realizes Liam is in the room
"She has to what." Liam says crossing his arms.
