-Emily-The rest of my shift goes smoothly, Liam keeps a watchful eye on me through out the night. I finish bussing my last table when I hear voices in the break room fan-girling over Liam, and his friends.
"God Liam is so hot, like have you seen his smile?" Ciara coos.
I choose to ignore her as I make my way to my locker, lost in my head as I hear the slight creak of the break room door. Followed by silence. Before I can turn around Liam crowds my vision, leaning on the locker to my left. He watches in amusement as I fumble with the lock.
"I'll drive you home to get ready for the party. Luna and Harry are going to ride with us." He smiles softly as his head leans back against the locker.
"And why exactly am I going to the party?" I bite back, my tone cold and unrelenting, a slight tinge of annoyance seething through.
"Because I'm paying your rent. For two months just for coming as my date."
I freeze and slowly turn to face him, my hands still on the lock as my wide eyes meet his. "I am not letting you do that."
He shrugs, clearly enjoying my reaction. "Already paid your rent so.."I rest my head on the cold metal of the locker in annoyance, my eyes fluttering closed as I take a deep breath. I very softly bang my head against the locker. I can hear his gravely laugh echo through the room as I resume trying to open the lock. I clench my jaw as I try to focus on opening it.
"Let me help."
Before I can protest Liam cages me in, his chest pressed flush against my back as his hands rest on mine.
"What's the code?" His lips brush against my ear as he speaks, his voice no more than a whisper. Sending shivers down my spine.
"32-7-28" I mumble, my cheeks flushing red as his hands fluidly guide my own in turning the dial. The lock opens with a click, but Liam makes no effort to move. Rough hands gently caress down my arms, then my sides, before wrapping around my waist and pulling me flush against him. His hips grinding into my backside, a soft gravelly grunt escaping his lips as he buries his face in my neck.
My eyes widen and I open my mouth to speak, but no words come out. My body is littered with goosebumps as his lips press softly against the place where my jaw meets my neck - lingering as he speaks. "Come on, grab your things so we can get going."
I nod and snap out of it, realizing all eyes are on us. I quickly pull my things out of the locker, Liam stepping back and allowing me space to shrug on my jacket before grabbing me by the hand and dragging me out of the room. In the hallway I see Harry and Luna waiting, Harry is all over her the same way Liam is all over me. Liam gives Harry a curt nod, signaling him to grab Luna so we can go.
. . .
The drive to my apartment is quiet, the only noise is the soft hum of the engine accompanied by Luna's soft singing along to the songs on the radio.
"I like this song too." I smile as I turn back to face her.
"Pink Pony Club is such a fun song!" Luna smiles softly. "Have you listened to the song Casual by Chappell Roan yet?"
"I have, it's really good."
She looks like she has a million things she wants you to say, but instead she smiles and leans back in the seat as we pull up to my apartment. I watch as Harry whispers in her ear. I only catch the tail end of what he says.
"Luna babe, it's okay to tell her about music. Nobody is annoyed." Harry's voice is soft and I see her nod in response as we all pile out of the car.
"I recently found the song Chandelier by Will Paquin.. I really like that one too!"
