Two boys around age four sat in a grassy clearing near a playground. One with messy green hair and green eyes, the other with spiky ash blond hair and fiery red eyes. They sat on a chequered picnic blanket enjoying a lunch of sandwiches and orange juice.
The green haired boy spoke up, “I want to have picnics with you for the rest of our lives! Will you be my wife kacchan?”
Kacchan, full name Katsuki Bakugou, looked at the other boy in confusion, “why am I the wife, Izuku?”
Izuku, full name Izuku Midoriya, responded, “well one of us has to be the wife! I want to take care of you and protect you so that means I'm the husband!”
Katsuki mulled over the other boy's words before nodding, “yeah that makes sense! I'll cook the best meals for you! No restaurant will ever compare!” He let out a cartoonish villain laugh.
“Yay! I can't wait to taste Kacchan’s cooking!” Izuku cheered, “when are we gonna get married?”
“Hmmmm this time next week! I'll get a….. head… thing?” Katsuki looked confused for a moment before picking back up where he left off “you get the rings!”
“Hmmmm maybe hair clips would be better” Izuku wondered aloud.
“But rings are more weddingly”
“Hair clips won't get lost and I want to give you a good ring when I'm a hero!” Izuku announced proudly.
“I guess that's ok then” Katsuki turned away with a flushed face.
“So it will be next week, your birthday will be our wedding!” The boys ran over to their moms who were chatting a short distance away. “Mama me and Kacchan need to go make wedding invitations!”
Izuku’s mom, Inko Midoriya, chuckled. “Who's wedding are we celebrating Izuku?”
“Me and Kacchan's!”
Katsuki’s mother, Mitsuki Bakugou, stifled a laugh upon hearing this.
“I see. Shall we go home so you can use your construction paper?”
Izuku and Katsuki held hands the entire way to Izuku's house while chatting about All Might's most recent fight and gushing over how awesome he is.
“Is your husband home, Inko?” Mitsuki questioned from the passenger seat.
“No need to worry. He's at work”
Izuku pretended he couldn't hear them. He had a happy family. His father was a kind person.
They finally pulled into the driveway. Izuku and Katsuki rushed inside, giggling happily and already making plans for how the invitations would look. They raced up the stairs, Katsuki beating Izuku by a hair.
“You gotta be faster than me if you wanna protect me!” Katsuki insisted.
“I'll train to be faster than Kacchan!” Izuku shouts, determined.
Katsuki grabbed Izuku's hand and rushed off to his room so they could start up on the invitations. They decided to make the invitations all might themed, drawing All Might the best they could on each invitation. They made plans to hand the invitations out at kindergarten when Monday rolled around.
Izuku eventually had to say goodbye to Katsuki and went upstairs to sleep as peacefully as he could with the sound of his parents arguing downstairs.
~~~~~~
It was Monday, the day Izuku and Katsuki agreed to hand out their invitations. They met up at the school gate and held hands as they skipped into their classroom. They distributed invitations to every classmate and their teacher.
