"Ansh , see I brought your favourite chocolate." Aarya said smilingly , her chubby cheeks made her look cute , curly strands of hair falling on her face
"Really ? Is it for me ?" I asked excitedly ,
"Yes , I bought it when papa took me out yesterday". She said passing it to me with a bubbly smile ,
"Thank you Aru" I said hugging her ,
"Ansh , we will always stay together, right?" Aru asked with an expression of hesitation ,
"Yes , of course , Aru" I said taking a bite from my chocolate ,
"Pinky-promise" Aru said forwarding her little finger , although I didn't believe in these stupid promises but I know if I don't do this , she would eat my head ,
"Yeah , pinky-promise" I said as our pinky fingers entwined ,
"AARYAA!!!!" I screamed , I looked around to realize maa was sitting on the couch ,so it was all a dream , sweat beads formed on my forehead ,
"Ayaansh , are you okay beta?" Maa came running towards me , I clung onto her ,
"Maa , she-she still co-comes in my dr-dreams" I stammered ,
"Aa-Aarya?" Maa asked hugging me , I nodded ,
"Where did she go maa , leaving all of us ?" I said hiding myself more into her embrace ,
"Some people leave us midway beta , without a word , without any explanation , all we are left with is self doubts questioning oneself , don't trouble yourself bacha , sleep for now , we will talk about this tomorrow hmm?" Maa cooed ,
"How can I sleep maa ? That-That letter haunts me even in my dreams ." I said lost ,
"I know bacha , I wish she never was a part-"
"MAAA!!! DON'T!!" I said seperating myself from her hold ,
"DON'T COMPLETE WHAT YOU STARTED MAA , NEVER , NEVER COMPLETE THAT." I said out of rage ,
"What should I do love , seeing you agonize like this everyday haunts me , I loved her too....but not more than you son ." Maa said with tears falling onto her cheeks ,
"She broke something , which I guess....no one can ever heal...no one ." I said in a tone barely above whisper ,
"Sleep Ayaansh , you need rest , just close your eyes" Maa said not looking at me ,
"Maa..You need to he-hear me out maa...You can't-ta-talk abo-about her that way " I said with difficulty ,
"Ansh-Ansh beta you are palpitating , have meds son , have these" Maa said passing me the pills with water , I gulped the pills with too much pain , and dozed off .
