"Listen, I'm not trying to have any type of problems with you. I just really want to drop my record and blow these hoes out of the water." Legend said with much frustration in her voice. She had been signed to this label for five years and had been doing but doing the groundwork while watching everybody getting their shine.
"In due time. You'll get where you need to go. There's no need to rush in this business and not to mention if you truly want longevity and respect for your craft. This is the best way to receive it."
"I understand what you're saying but this isn't what I signed for. I just want to be able to do what I was told."
"What's the rush if you don't mind me asking.?"
"I want to be a fucking superstar.! Gotdamn it. My name isn't Legend for a reason. I'm tired of giving away all of my good shit to these mediocre artists who can't even sing or perform the shit right!"
"Well the fire is definitely lit under your ass. Since you've been bold enough to harass the shit out of my staff to get to my office. I'll give you three months to make me a three part ep to release at the top of the year to prepare the public for your official album release."
"Really?"
"No. Not really. Get the fuck out of my office and get the fuck back to work. We've got too much going right now to deal with your bratty attitude. You aren't special and you aren't a superstar. You are the help and that's what you're signed for. Whoever's dick you been sucking lied to you."
Legend couldn't believe the CEO of the label that signed her was talking to her like this. What the hell did she really get herself into. All those YouTube videos and Reddit threads about how to make it in the industry didn't prepare her for this type of reaction. As much as she wanted to argue back Legend knew it would be pointless. There was no changing the great Lavender Demure's mind. Defeated, she walked out of his office and went back to the studio with producer Mill-O Bandz. Tears in her eyes and her soul feeling broken.
