"Why the hell are you staring at me!" The muscular guy, though far from Yang Ming, felt his unnerving gaze. As he walked over, he cursed at Yang Ming.
"Can't I look at you? Got a problem with that?" Yang Ming retorted immediately, unafraid.
Yang Ming had the ability to see far, but the muscular guy did not. Yang Ming could see him clearly, but he couldn't see Yang Ming. Only when he got closer did he realize it was Yang Ming, and his attitude changed to one of fear and obsequiousness. "Yang bro, it's you. No problem, you can look all you want..."
Who dared to mess with Yang Ming? Getting beaten up by him would be a loss he couldn't afford. The muscular guy thought to himself.
Yang Ming didn't want to cause trouble, so he patted the guy's shoulder and said, "No worries. Just wanted to tell you, don't wear such flashy underwear. Keep it low-key..."
The muscular guy stood with his mouth agape as Yang Ming walked away. How did he know about my preference?
Yang Ming remembered that Zhao Ying was waiting for him in the office and quickly headed to the staff building. Why does she want to see me? he wondered. Could it be she's interested in me and wants to ask me out?
Thinking about Zhao Ying's more mature figure compared to Chen Mengyan, Yang Ming almost drooled. Maybe I could sneak a peek? But he quickly dismissed the idea.
When he reached the office door, Yang Ming habitually walked in without knocking. Zhao Ying was playing QQ Landlord on her computer and blushed when she saw him. Annoyed, she said, "Yang Ming, don't you know to knock before entering?"
"If you haven't done anything wrong, you won't fear ghosts knocking at the door. Ms. Zhao, are you doing something you shouldn't?" Yang Ming teased with a smile.
"Are you implying you're a ghost?" Zhao Ying caught the slip in his words, looking at him with a half-smile.
Yang Ming wasn't the type to fall into his own trap. "I said, you won't fear ghosts knocking at the door, but I didn't knock."
Zhao Ying was exasperated. Why talk about ghosts knocking if you didn't knock at all? She asked, "So what did you mean by that saying?"
"Nothing much, just saying. You're overthinking, just like this Lenovo computer here," Yang Ming said, pointing at the Lenovo-branded computer on the desk.
"..."
Zhao Ying was speechless. What kind of student is this? Good thing no other teachers were around, or I'd be thoroughly embarrassed!
"Alright, enough chit-chat. Ms. Zhao, why did you want to see me?" Yang Ming tried to control his gaze, avoiding staring at Zhao Ying. He didn't trust himself not to use his X-ray vision.
Zhao Ying was so frustrated she almost wished she could vanish. She had intended to ask Yang Ming if he knew why she wanted to see him. "Is there something you want to tell me?"
"Me? What would I say? Oh, right, Ms. Zhao, I decided to put my contact lenses back on. They're more comfortable. I was going to ask you for help, but thought you might be busy, so I managed on my own," Yang Ming began to ramble.
"Yeah, wouldn't want to cheat on exams without them, right?" Zhao Ying said sarcastically.
"What do you mean, cheat on exams? Ms. Zhao, what are you talking about?" Yang Ming played dumb. You didn't catch me in the act, so how do you know I cheated?
Zhao Ying didn't respond but instead picked up a stack of test papers from her desk and placed the top two in front of Yang Ming. "Explain these," she said coldly.
Yang Ming looked at the papers and broke out in a cold sweat. They were his and Zhang Bin's. He had copied them in such a hurry he forgot to make any changes, resulting in identical mistakes on both papers.
"Don't tell me this is a coincidence," Zhao Ying said.
"Uh... well, you know, the world is full of coincidences. If it's similar, it's purely coincidental," Yang Ming said, forcing a smile.
Coincidence my ass! Zhao Ying was fuming. Her neck flushed with anger, and as Yang Ming's gaze drifted lower, he caught a glimpse of her slightly open collar and the hidden allure beneath...
Should I use my X-ray vision? Just once, just a quick peek! A voice urged him. No, this is wrong. She's your teacher! another voice argued.
Who cares? She's only three years older. Older women are more mature. Don't kid yourself, the other voice insisted.
Yang Ming swallowed hard. This was tempting, but he turned his head away. He couldn't let himself lose control here.
Zhao Ying noticed Yang Ming's heated gaze. Although older, she was still naive in some ways. Initially, she thought being a teacher meant he wouldn't dare have any improper thoughts about her. But now, seeing the desire in his eyes, she felt flustered.
"Hmph!" Zhao Ying stood up, adjusted her collar, and said, "Yang Ming, look at your behavior! Skipping class, fighting, cheating on exams. All that's left is harassing female classmates!"
Blushing, she wondered if his earlier gaze counted as harassment.
Yang Ming, however, was unfazed. His thick skin had been honed through years of mischief. "Harassment? That's nothing!" he muttered, recalling how he had just flirted with Chen Mengyan and gotten slapped for it.
