Chapter 184: Three new professional heritage statues! Training ground architectural drawings!

Alimia blinked, her expression soft, like a real little girl.

Lu Qing watched her curiously.

Alimia flew over to a patch of gravel and sat down, her tone teasing. "Stop messing with you. The reward for the final test is me. The remnant soul of a source god. How’s that? Surprised?"

She laughed, and Lu Qing felt a bit stunned, his brows knitting slightly. "You and Michel mentioned the source god earlier. Is there a difference between the source god and a regular god?"

"Of course, there’s a difference. And it’s huge," Alimia replied, pouting slightly as if she was offended by being lumped in with other gods.

"The source god is born from the source will, like a biological child. Regular gods, though, need to control divine power, gather faith from living beings, and condense their godhead to connect to the source will. Think of it like... the adopted sons and daughters of the universe."

As she said this, her gaze drifted to Elizabeth, the dragon in the heavens nearby. "When the Celestial War happened, the gods that invaded the celestial realm were those kinds of gods, the ones who rose through belief. As for whether they had any connection to the source will, who knows."

Lu Qing frowned, thinking. "Then how do our lords gather faith to become gods?"

"The lord is a special existence on the Origin Continent," Alimia explained, her voice dropping a little as if sharing a secret. "You don’t need to gather faith the same way. Your subjects are a different kind of belief. As your territory grows and your lords remain loyal, you’ll naturally form your own godhead and ascend. Some lords, if they do it right, might even become source gods like us."

"And how do I do that?" Lu Qing pressed.

Alimia shook her head with a playful smile. "You’re not at that level yet. Knowing too early will only complicate things for you. Once you reach the Sanctuary, I’ll tell you."

Lu Qing paused, nodding. He was still only at the gold level, after all. It would be too ambitious to think about godhood right now. Yet, a thought sparked in his mind. "But what about refugees—those who’ve given up their status as lords and seek godhood by other means? Can they become gods by just gaining power?"

"It’s difficult," Alimia said, shaking her head. "Even if they have the power of gods, it's just surface-level. They can’t form a true connection with the source will, and against a real god, they’d shatter in an instant."

Lu Qing fell silent, recalling the lords who had already abandoned their titles, chasing the dream of becoming gods. So, giving up their status meant giving up their chance at godhood. They’d be powerful, sure, but never true gods.

Looking at Alimia, he felt a wave of relief. Having a source god’s remnant soul by his side... it was a major advantage. It gave him insight that countless other lords didn’t have. Without her, he wouldn’t even know how lords became gods.

He smirked. "So, what else can you help me with?"

"I still have a faint connection to my godhead fragment," Alimia said thoughtfully. "If you’re serious about chasing after the divine status of the Source of Wisdom, I can help you find the godhead."

Lu Qing nodded slowly, an idea taking shape in his mind. If he could get his hands on the Godhead of Wisdom and use it in the Huien altar... what would happen? The Heart of Wisdom was already powerful, but if it was replaced by the Godhead, the effects would be incredible, right?
