CHAPTER 7- LUMINOUS GAZE OF A PREDATOR
*TOWER OF GRAVE PLACE, NOW DRAGON TOWER*
The black with golden edges gate of the tower opened, showing the fire fountain at the center of it.
Proceeding further is the red, pyramid-like tower with two dragons by right and left on the top as if it is this building's horns.
On the other side is the backyard where the horses and training place is designed. The garden was filled with red and black roses. At the center of this garden is a wooden shelter with a rose carved wooden table and chairs.
This place is the fiercest yet the most eye captivating of them all.
The royal guards in charge of roaming to monitor the imperial areas almost dropped their jaw on the ground upon seeing this place.
“H-Hey... D-Did a b-building from another dimension teleported here?” Said the guard A.
“N-No... This is the grave place!” Guard B responded.
“Isn't this the place where the princess of Emirald is gonna stay?”
“The one which her higness Venusa assigned?"
“I thought she's going to ridicule her? Why did her highness Venusa renovated the place like this?”
“Who carved those dragons? It's a masterpiece! And that fire fountain is on another level!”
Their murmurs was interrupted by a bangings of woods and when they came to check as royal guards, they saw Marga in her night gown, hammering woods with her friends.
“Orange hair and green eyes? I-Isn't she the princess?!” Guard C flabbergastedly asked.
Everybody knows the description of the young princess, since Venusa schemed to bully her and ordered various of people to ridicule someone they see with orange hair and green eyes that lives in the grave place.
“S-She... T-THEY THEMSELVES RENOVATED THIS PLACE? AND WITH JUST TWO DAYS AT THAT?!!!!”
Their conversation reached the ears of Marga and friends.
Marga stood up and greeted them greamly. “Hello to you all! I'm princess Marga. Are you here to become our meal?” she asked, smiling.
The ground somewhat shook when Megalodon jumped from the fifth floor, frightening the royal guards who came to inspect.
“W-What? What do you mean m-meal?” Shivering, royal guard C asked.
“This idiot!” Luisa uttered as she scratches her head. “We apologize for that. I'm the aide of her highness the princess and the niece of the late empress Esmeralda. What just she meant is if you'd like to join a meal with us? Her wordings are sometimes very twisted so I hope you understand that side of her as the people of this empire which soon with the matrimonial ceremony, we're gonna be part of it as well.” She then intervened.
The guards gave an uncooked, awkward smile to them. “A-Ah, I see. W-Well w-we're just here to inspect so there's no need to do that for us. Thank you for the generosity, Although. H-Haha.”
Marga just smiled at them, and so does everybody else, but they didn't say anything and just kept smiling to the guards which leads to an eerie vibe.
When Marga was about to reach for their shoulders so she could tap them and give some encouragement, the guards immediately recoiled and bid their farewells while rushing away from them.
Marga couldn't do but to look in awe. “Geez! They were probably frightened by Megalodon. Why would they run away as if I'm some contagious disease?! Is it also wrong for a princess to tap the shoulders of the knights?”
