AUTHOR'S POV:

Ohhh you are back said Y/N looking at shubman who just returned home

Shubman, hearing this, turns around and grins widely, saying, "Yep, I'm back. It's been a while, right?"

"Yeah" said y/n

Shubman runs a hand through his hair and says in a sheepish tone,

"I hope you didn't get too bored while I was gone."No I was fine as I too came back now from the court

Shubman raised his eyebrows questioningly and asked, "Ah, so you were in court? Nothing too serious, I hope?"

"Being a lawyer where am I supposed to be"

*she said chuckling at his sudden confusion*

Shubman chuckled and replied, "Right, being a lawyer. Of course, you'd be in court. Guess, I should've seen that one coming."

"Yeah"

Shubman leaned against a wall casually, his arms crossed. He smirked and asked, "So, how's the life of a lawyer treating you lately?"

He added, "Any interesting cases you're working on? Or is it just the usual day-to-day grind at the office?" He sounded more interested than he initially let on.

As Shubman waited for a response from you, he looked at you for a long while, the smirk still playing on his lips. His gaze seemed contemplative, as if he was studying you intently. The subtle silence between them, broken only by the distant hum of the city, seemed to hold a thousand unspoken words.

Y/N smiled at Shubman's interest in her life. Her eyes held a spark as she answered, "It's been quite busy, to be honest. Juggling court cases, paperwork, and the occasional surprise evidence is exhausting, but there's a certain thrill to it all. The law's like a puzzle, and I love solving it."

Shubman chuckled softly, his smirk widening. "A thrill seeker, eh? That sounds about right, judging by your occupation." He pushed off the wall and took a few steps closer, his eyes never leaving yours.
He continued, "I must admit, I know very little about the legal world. But your passion for it is intriguing." He looked at you intently, his gaze studying you for a moment before he spoke again.
"Maybe you can teach me a thing or two sometime."

A small shiver ran down Y/N's spine as Shubman's words hung in the air. His gaze, intense and captivating, seemed to hold a hidden message that she couldn't quite decipher. She held his gaze, feeling a strange flutter in her chest.

Shubman seemed to be slowly closing the gap between them as he took another step forward. The smirk on his face had grown into more of a subtle smile, adding a hint of playfulness to his demeanor. His eyes roamed over your face, as if he was trying to read your every thought.

The air around them felt heavy with the weight of unsaid words. Shubman's proximity to Y/N was starting to make her heart race, and she found herself holding her breath in anticipation. She couldn't help but admire his rugged good looks and the confidence emanating from him in waves.

Shubman chuckled again, noticing Y/N's reaction. "Nervous?" he asked, his tone carrying a hint of amusement but also a hint of something else. He was standing close enough that she could feel the warmth of his breath on her cheek. The tension between them was palpable.

Y/N felt her cheeks flush as she struggled to form a coherent sentence. Her mind was a mess of conflicting thoughts, and she desperately tried to regain her composure. "N-no... not nervous," she managed to stutter out, her voice betraying her nervousness.
