23.0 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 '𝑹'

After one and half hours of cleaning the desk I finally managed to set it up and arranged my things neatly.

I quickly went and wash my hands and sat on my desk. I was checking if there were any mails that Nia sent me as she told so but to my dismay there weren't any such mails but I didn't care too much.

Since there is no call at the moment and there is no work schedule for me to tell me what to do next so I complete some pending files of KK Groups since I left my job without clearing my other works.

Finally after what felt like a eternity I'm complete with the pending works and I looked at my wrist watch to check the time and it's shows 12pm and it's already lunch time.

I'm sure most of them went to have a lunch by this time and I decided to grab my things and go have lunch since this is a new place and I know no one here and it's okay I'm not afraid to eat alone perhaps that's what I am doing since my birth except for sometimes Selvi were there.

Thinking this I stood up from my place that's when I realized this floor which is on the 4th top of the building which is also belongs to one of the Shekhawat men is but what is not sitting well with me is this floor is eerily quiet and since there is only one receptionist desk and one big cabin which literally looked sort of old and unused cabin.

That's when things started to make sense that I'm the only one in this floor and no one here and to top it all there is no call came to this reception phone since I came here.

With suspicion I picked up the land line phone and try to make a call and my suspicions were confirmed when the land line phone is not working and I realized that I were tricked.

This floor doesn't belongs to the 'COO' but to someone else and seeing the interior it looks like this floor been never used before or they do use but not anymore.

I rubbed my temple trying to calm my nerves as I didn't want to do something rashly in this situation and how did I easily fall into this trap. Seems like someone purposely gave me this floor to waste my time here but in reality no one is using this floor.

I quickly grabbed my phone and walked to the receptionist area which is on the first floor, I need my answers who dare to trick me like this if it was that Nia than she going to see the worst of me.

I reached the first floor reception area but there was only Mrs.Chawla there since it's still the lunch break I guess Nia and Jennifer went to have their lunch.

I walked towards where Mrs.Chawla is and asked trying to keep my anger at bay

"Excuse me Mrs.Chawla, may I know where is Nia?"

Mrs.Chawla looked at me and smiled and said

"Come Ms.Iyer, how is your workplace do you like it? And why are you asking her is there any problem? Because Nia went to have lunch with Jennifer so if there is any problem you may tell me maybe I could help"
