POV: Carlotta Damian
The first thing I felt when I woke up was the warmth of his body against mine. A smile tugged at my lips as I opened my eyes to find Charles still asleep beside me, his face peaceful, his soft breathing steady. I couldn't help but admire how innocent he looked, completely unaware of the world around him. His hair was a mess, his lips slightly parted, and the sheets draped lazily over him.
I leaned in closer, gently brushing my lips against his. He stirred slightly but kept his eyes closed, his lips moving just enough to return the kiss.
"Good morning," I whispered softly, my voice still thick with sleep.
"Good Morning, chèrie" he mumbled, his eyes remaining closed, a sleepy smile spreading across his face as he pulled me tighter against him. His hand slid around my waist, his touch firm but tender. I pressed a kiss to his neck, my lips tracing a line down to his chest, enjoying the softness of his skin beneath my touch.
He let out a content sigh, and I couldn't help but laugh softly. Charles was acting like a little kid at this moment. I leaned in to kiss him again, my lips brushing his once more, and this time, his eyes fluttered open as he kissed me back, slow and gentle.
"We need to get up," I whispered, though neither of us made any move to leave the bed.
"Five more minutes," he replied, his voice barely above a murmur as he buried his face in my neck, his breath warm against my skin. I let out a small laugh, but I knew we had to get up eventually. The day was waiting for us, whether we wanted it to or not.
With a sigh, we reluctantly pulled ourselves out of bed, exchanging one last kiss before we finally got dressed and headed out.
At the paddock, the atmosphere was lively. It was the final day, and while there was a sense of celebration in the air, there was also a feeling of goodbye. Some Hospitalities were no longer there, because they had probably already disassembled everything the night before or early this morning. "Good morning everyone!" Charles said as we entered the Ferrari's hospitality.
"Hi, Charles! Hi Carlotta! How are you doing?" A mechanic asked.
"Good actually. And you?"
"Everything normal. Fred is just a bit nervous but everything is fine"
"I just want to go home and relax. This season was like a war" another mechanic said.
This season was over, and the future was uncertain. My future and Ferrari's was uncertain.
"Hello there! Well done, Carlotta!" one of the mechanics said, giving me a friendly pat on the back. "World champion, huh? Not bad."
"Thanks," I said, smiling as I accepted the congratulations. But my attention drifted toward Charles, who was talking to another mechanic.
"So, Charles," the mechanic asked him, "any big plans for the holidays?"
Charles glanced over at me, a small, mischievous smile on his face. "I was thinking of spending them with my girlfriend... if she says yes, of course."
I felt my cheeks heat up, and I quickly looked away, trying to act like I wasn't eavesdropping. I wasn't sure if everyone knew about us yet, but judging by the smirks and glances, it wouldn't be long before they figured it out.
Another mechanic turned to me. "What about you, Carlotta? Any special plans for the holidays?"
I shrugged, keeping my tone casual. "I'm not sure yet. But I'll probably spend it with someone important to me."
As we wrapped up, Charles leaned in close to me, his breath warm against my ear. "So... will you spend the holidays with me?" he asked, his voice low and playful.
