:Felix's warm smile illuminated the room as he rushed to envelop Jisung in a tight hug. "Oh, Jisung! I missed you terribly, Sungie!" he exclaimed, releasing him with an affectionate smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes.
Jisung's heart swelled with gratitude as he chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "I missed you too, Chicken." Felix playfully warned, his eyes sparkling with mirth, "Hey, don't call me that, okay?"
As they settled inside, Felix's curiosity got the better of him, his brow furrowing with concern. "So, how was Malaysia? You went with Minho, right?" he asked, his voice tinged with a hint of trepidation, as if sensing the turmoil that lay beneath Jisung's surface.
Jisung's expression turned contemplative, his eyes clouding over like a stormy sky. "Yes, he was there," he replied, his voice measured, "Dad arranged it, leaving me no choice but to acquiesce." The memory of Minho's presence still lingered, a bittersweet ache that Jisung couldn't shake.
Felix's eyes sparkled with insight, his gaze piercing the veil of Jisung's reserve. "I think it was a great opportunity for you to reconnect with Minho. You spent quality time together." Jisung's brows furrowed.
"What are you insinuating, Felix?" Jisung asked.
Felix shrugged, "Nothing, babe. You'll just deny it anyway." He swiftly shifted his focus.
"How's your health? Did you adhere to your medication schedule abroad?" Felix asked, his tone gentle, but his eyes probed.
Jisung's body stiffened, his secret threatening to surface like a ripple on a still pond. Felix's gaze narrowed, detecting Jisung's unease.
"Sung, you did take your meds, didn't you?" Jisung's hesitation was fleeting, but Felix caught it, his eyes locking onto Jisung's like a magnet.
"Of course, I did," Jisung replied, his voice steady, but his eyes avoiding Felix's, fearful of being discovered.
Felix's expression turned skeptical, his voice taking on a serious tone. "Jisung, I know you. Something's off." Jisung's heart sank, knowing he couldn't hide the truth from Felix.
"Sung, I'm serious. Did you take your meds in Malaysia?" Felix pressed, his voice laced with concern.
Jisung's defenses crumbled under Felix's piercing gaze. "I... didn't bring them," Jisung admitted, his voice barely above a whisper, shame and guilt washing over him.
Felix's expression turned stern, his eyes flashing with worry. "What prompted this decision?" Jisung's shoulders sagged, the weight of his secrets bearing down on him.
"I... I just didn't want to risk letting Minho find out," Jisung confessed, his voice cracking beneath the strain.
Felix's face softened, concern etched on his features. "Sung, your health is more important than being exposed to him." Jisung nodded, shamefaced, knowing Felix spoke the truth.
"I know... but I was scared," Jisung whispered, the admission tearing free from his lips like a ripened scab.
Felix questioned, his voice gentle. "How many days did you skip?" Jisung hesitated before answering, the guilt eating away at him. "Four."
Felix's eyes widened, alarm written across his face. "Four days without meds? Jisung, what if something had happened?" Felix's curiosity resurfaced, his mind racing with implications.
"Sung, how did you manage without your meds? Did you experience any adverse effects?" Jisung hesitated, unsure how much to reveal, but Felix's empathetic gaze coaxed the truth from him.
