Imagine if we lived in a world where you could only be happy. Where everyone was friends and family. Where jealousy didn't exist which usually fuels the fire in every argument between pairs. Where equality was key.

Unfortunately, life isn't this easy. We have been thrown challenges every day of life. People are better than others, and no matter how many human rights there are, they will always be abused.

That's why I find myself cowering away from my superiors everyday.

Running into the unknown behind my shelter. It isn't my home, because its not a place where I belong.

I'm lost.

This is my story.

The wind was picking up and it wasn't slowing down any time soon. This was the problem with sneaking away at night time to get away. I hugged my jacket even more closer than possible, shielding my body from the weather. I knew English weather was bad, but this was terrible.

Thunder roared from afar above me as lightening illuminated the sky. I shuddered, whimpering as I crashed into a tree just in front of me. My legs were picking up, wanting to get as far away from my shelter as possible but wanting to get away from the storm brewing around me.

My phone was beginning to go off in my pocket, causing me to stop dead in my tracks. The rain was getting heavier by second. I pulled the phone from my pocket, my eyes opening and closing, attempting get everything out of my face.

'Ronald calling'

I was dead.

He has never called me before.

He can't know I have sneaked out. How could he? He doesn't check on me anyway.

I was contemplating whether I should answer it or not. Knowing it would be best to answer it, to get everything out of the way and then to decide whether I should keep running or if I should leave it and sneak back into bed like every other day. I outweigh everything.

I'm dead anyway. I press the faded green button on the half-damaged key pad. It was a present from my teacher. It's not like it is an expensive phone anyway. It probably cost a few pounds.

"Hello?"

"I'm not coming home for a few nights," His answer was forward and snappy.

"Why not?" I questioned, my shoulders relaxing a slight bit.

"Because, I have things to do, people to see," His wicked voice rang through my ears. I could hear the loud music in the background. "Now, you need to clean the whole house and if it is not spotless when I get home, there will be consequences. Understand?"

"When will you be home"

"Understand?" His voice came out more rough. I took a gulp and I nodded my head, even though he couldn't see.

"Yes," I mumbled, stepping back into the tree behind me.

The line went silent and I was faced back with the sound of heavy rain. I threw my phone into my pocket again. I was relieved, he didn't know I was out. He wasn't going to be home for a few days. I was able to go home for a few nights and not have to worry about anything.

I felt a tiny bit of calmness spreading through my body.

I turned back around, this time deciding i'll go the other way and made my way to the right to get to the bridge.

My pace started to get faster as I felt rain trickling down my back, chilling my spine.

I was insight of the bridge when the rain began to calm down, but it was still very dark. It was 9PM after all. I didn't realise until I was 5 meters away that I wasn't alone. I stopped dead in my tracks, starring up at the hooded body who was looking over the edge into the fast running water which separated the two lands. He didn't realise I was there. Not that he was looking around or anything.
