He wasn't weird, I observed.
Well, maybe he was; we were right by him, and he didn't even look up (or, down really, at us. 'Not common at all,' I probably gaped in my subconscious mind. By this I could tell we probably weren't his first invisible admirers. I comfortably took my time and studied him a brief moment as he played since he was keeping to himself the way he was, either not minding or noticing us for some reason. I didn't care except that he wasn't seeming to notice my presence. The music he was playing was secular, I realized, so he probably didn't go to church, and still appeared to be dressed for church much better than the rest of my friends who normally go, and even me, which wasn't really a surprise when I thought about it. My only church cardigan was slightly fuzzy, my face was probably oily because my mom did my hair, and the teeny, tiny bun sticking out the back of my head was not doing it. And the pianist- he had his somewhat long, dark hair in a layered haircut so unique I was convinced he came up with it himself. His radiant skin was literally without any visible blemish or apparent make-up, and his fingernails- were they really that well groomed, or did he just paint all of them black to make them appear that way?...How would he know to dress so nice for church? And if he didn't, does he normally dress this way? He had on a long-sleeved light blue shirt, what looked like khaki uniform pants, and a darker looking tie with Fleur-De-Lis symbols across it- A real gentleman's tie if I ever saw one...
*A lot of men be pulling up to church under the craziest-looking ties...That or the equally extreme opposite. Footnote.
His shoes were nice looking, but nothing extravagant like those seen of many well-dressed people...Leather boots maybe?
Maybe my ordinary appearance was the reason I was a little stunned to find out me and my friend weren't invisible anymore after I'd finally bothered bothering him.
"Uhh...Excuse me...", I called out in the least confident voice.
