'Hurts...'
'My head... hurts'
'Am.. am I dying?'
'My eyes- I have to open my eyes!'
"Ugh!"
A loud grunt resonates through her ears.
It was a sound filled with pain and confusion.
The girl was pretty sure that she was the one who made that sound.
But the voice that filled her numbed brain wasn't hers.
With a buzzing mind, she tries to open her eyes, her eyelids heavier than usual.
As if she had just awoken from the deepest yet most restless slumber.
Her limbs are slightly numb, but that's fine.
With great difficulty she raises her body into a sitting position as she takes in the view in front of her.
"W-Where..?" The moment her lips parted her body froze... her eyes jolt wide open as her vision cleared up.
'Red.'
A saturated red light highlighted the bloody scene reflected in her trembling pupils.
Only then did she register the overwhelmingly mind numbing bloody scent that was filling her nostrils.
"Ergh-"
A sharp gagging sound left her throat, her body hunched over on instinct.
She felt the need to empty her stomach only to feel blazing pain in her abdomen. As if she had nothing left to puke out.
Her body shook as she forcefully suppressed her body's impulsive reaction.
The moment her insides calmed down, an explosive headache hit the back of her brain like a both of lightning, bringing along flashes of unknown memories.
The child's back gave out and her body slammed down onto the brownish red grass.
She quickly covered her head to try and protect it from the unreasonable amount of information that flooded her brain like a tidal wave.
'Wh- Where? Who?! Ugh!'
Her only thoughts were filled with resonant questions and interrupted by pain-filled groans. Her head was pulsing with enough force to cause an explosion.
All of her senses started to burn, as if she was surrounded by fire or was personally ignited.
She grasped her hair, pulling at it with great strength. After a long while of trying to fight pain with more pain she finally released her grip.
"Haa.. Haa.."
She heard panting. It was quite obvious that it was coming from her own vocal cords, yet the voice remained unfamiliar.
An unknown amount of time later, her elbows pressed down onto the ground as she once again tried to stand up.
Her vision was blurry because of the still-flowing tears. Too blurry for her to realise that her arms are weirdly short.
The girl once again forces her body into a sitting position, wiping the tears from her stained face.
She stays still for who knows how long, her eyes sometimes wandering to the bloody red scene before her.
In her mind, the memories of two people were mixing and separating, trying to organise her thoughts.
"This.."
