Satanic Covenants with the Land

There seems to be, in the demonic world, among sinners, a greater recognition of the truth being  here discussed, than among Christians to whom the right belongs.  In several communities, once in a regular while, rituals are performed, by means of which new covenants are either made with the land or old covenants renewed.  In some communities, nobody eats yam after harvest until the New Yam ceremony has been performed and the earth has been sacrificed unto.  If they harvested plantain, they would have to pluck off one or two fingers from the bunch and throw them down to the earth at the foot of the plantain tree, before they go away with their harvest.  Some men will not eat until they have first of all broken off a piece of the food and thrown it to the earth; and they would not drink without first libating to the earth.  Some would bury live animals or even men, sometimes slaves, in the earth, in the process of these covenants.

It also seems to me that each time people pour libation on the earth, the earth records their actions plus the words of supplication which are spoken with the drink that is poured.  The demonic files of some lands then, must be full with the libations and incarntations from several years ago.  You wonder that you go into some lands to preach or do some good work, and the land seems to ‘speak’ against you and oppose your efforts.  Yet you take the same business or gospel out of the borders of that land and the result is fantastic.  The land has bad records which ought to be wiped out in the name of Jesus.  We have to begin to learn to speak to our lands, and to also break the Satanic claims over us or others.

I did not realise, myself, until later, that the earth had a negative claim over me.  I would usually dream and find myself in my village, whereas I very hardly went home.  Even when I was several miles from home and hardly thought of home (my village), the dreams repeated.  It was much later that I realised that I had to address the claims of the earth over me.  And it was later, still, that I realised that the umbilical cord which fell off my navel at birth, may have been taken home to be buried in the earth, although I was born in a city several days’ journey from my village.  A file was opened for (or against) me in the earth, and a covenant established, by that ritual of my navel in the earth of my village.  Also, I remembered that, as a child, I had indulged in the ritual (which we children often ignorantly indulged in ) of rubbing the index finger of the right hand into the drink of libation on the ground, and marking my forehead with the mixture of libation drink and wet earth.  All  that, I realised, had strengthened the claims of the earth over me, and accounted for the uncomfortably recurrent pattern of dreams in which I found myself in a land I seldom visited or thought of, and usually involved in activities which, spiritually speaking, did not seem satisfactory to me.  I was a Christian, and a very good Christian at that, plus a preacher.  But when I realised this bondage I was into, although I was not being affected by it in any way that seemed obvious to me, I had to begin to renounce the claims of the earth over me.  I had to break yokes and all forms of negative connections to the land.  I laid hands on my navel, addressing the demonic claims of the earth over and against me.  I prayed all manners of prayers based on the little knowledge I had.  The land thereafter could no longer witness spiritually against me.  Those dreams ceased.

A lot of times we are busy binding or loosing or casting out demons.  But sometimes we ought to address the land also, and the seas, and the sky, and other elements of nature.  We should possess them for God.  Why do you think God told Joshua that he was to establish a contact between the soles of his feet and the earth, and so to irrevocably acquire such a land (Joshua 1:3)?  It seems to me that as Joshua and his company walked on the enemy land, as they ‘laid their feet’ (not their hands) on the earth, they trampled upon old Satanic covenants and established new ones, and the earth got to identify them as the new masters.  The signatures of their footprints got recorded in the files of the earth.

2 Kings 13:14-19 similarly makes sense now.  The man of God, Prophet Elisha, was going to die.  He asked the king of Israel, Joash, to shoot arrows into the ground.  The number of arrows he shot became the number of times Israel was going to defeat the Assyrians, their great enemies and oppressors.  Each arrow was a special message to the earth to note that the Assyrians were going to fall those many times before Israel.  The earth recorded it, and it could not be reversed.  Even the Prophet lamented that the king had shot only three arrows into the earth.  May God increase our understanding of spiritual things.  Amen.
