Jack and jesse are helping curly move his body to get used to it and so he'll have some sort of independence like try to move his wheel chair on his own.
"i get you guys are professionals in this field but isn't this too fast i mean he doesn't have hands shouldn't we wait until Mars for the prostetics?" kai questioned.
"i know it seems too fast but he shouldn't just lay down for months straight motionless plus it gives exercise" jesse assured kai then continued"this is helping him, it gives progress to his healing"
Kai looks at curlys room its closed a little bit worried but understands doctors knows best, he trusts them with his friend.
"alright Jesse and Jack sorry if i seem a little too protective" kai apologies, "it's fine captain i know you guys are close" Jack answered.
"alright I'll go to the cockpit after what curly told me i wanna be extra careful" said kai tiny bit joking but mostly serious.
"we understand captain"jesse said "heck we're all kinda anxious after that story" Jack nervously jokes "don't worry though we won't tell the crew too much detail" Jesse promised then kai leaves
(guys I don't really know medical stuff so idk if this is the correct response to curly's injuries, also btw it's a delivery ship they have canes, wheelchairs etc. For mild-extreme cases but no prostetics)
