"So does this mean we're a couple now?" TaeHyung asked with glimmering eyes. I sighed feeling bad as I caressed his face that was intently looking at me.
To be honest, I'm still not sure how I really feel about him. Yes, I do like him, but do I like him enough to risk my mafia and give up everything just to be with him?
Being in a relationship means he gives up his mafia or I give up mine, there's no in between. Not only that, I'm still trying to focus on funding out what and who my mom really is. I'm not sure if I'm capable of entering a relationship.
"I'm not really sure Tae..." I looked down, feeling bad. "Hey, we don't have to rush, I'm willing to wait until you're sure. Our contract's not done yet anyway. And even if it was, I'd still wait for you." He assured me, kissing my forehead, I couldn't help but feel even more bad. He was everything a girl could ask for, handsome, rich, tall and considerate. But the thing is, I'm not any other girl, I have a whole mafia to lead, and an identity to keep.

"Boss, we've found out where the orphanage is." Jisoo stated, as she hands me a brown envelope filled with numerous amount of papers. "And we've confirmed that the little girl in the picture with the nun isn't your mom, but her twin, Shin HyeJi." She added.
My mom has a sibling? And a twin at that. So my mom was the girl on the window. Where is her twin and what happened?
"Let's head to the orphanage now." TaeHyung suggested, as he held my waist in worry. "I'll help you, HyeJa." I smiled lightly.

We entered the ran down establishment, welcomed by a few children playing and running around. An old women greeted us with a comforting smile. "How may I help you young ones?" I looked at Lisa, asking her to explain to the woman.
"We need help in finding out who this little girl is." She gave the picture to the old woman, and the woman observed the picture in awe. "Oho, this is me when I was younger with HyeJi." We all looked at each other, we've confirmed that we were indeed at the right place.
"Follow me.." We did as she said, she then led us into a small room, decorated with pink vintage furnitures and two beds with different colors, one blue and one purple.
"Shin HyeJi was a bright little girl, while her twin, Shin HyeJoo was the gloomy and devilish girl. They were complete opposites but they still got along well." Well my mom fits the word "devilish" pretty well.
"When they were 13, a wealthy couple came, wanting to adopt a little girl. I told them we have 2 beautiful girls that wants to be adopted. But the couple refused to take the two of them. So in the end, HyeJoo was the one who was picked." I was confused, HyeJoo? Myom?
"HyeJi was jealous of her sister, so despite her bright personality, she locked her twin sister up in a closet for a week and went to the wealthy couple in her stead, guising herself as HyeJoo." Everything was so hard to process, so who is my mom really??
"Why didn't you guys do anything to help HyeJoo?" Rosè asked, also in confusion. "We thought she ran away because she didn't want to be adopted alone. But after HyeJi was adopted in her stead, we found her body in a closet. She died of hypothermia. We thought it was HyeJi at first, but we saw the mole on her foot. We used to differentiate the two of them by their moles."
"How did you guys find out that HyeJi actually locked her up?" I asked. HyeJi was my mom. She's been pretending to be her twin sister all this time.
"HyeJoo wrote a message with her nails onto the cabinet. We felt so guilty that we preserved her room, making sure everything was the same as it was." A tear ran down her cheeks, I just know how bad she might've felt.
My mom killed her twin sister.. maybe not intentionally but she still did.
"What happened to the wealthy couple? Did they find out that athey actually got the wrong girl?" Jennie asked. "No, we couldn't contact them anymore, the last news we had from them was that they went to Busan." My mom's hometown.
Everything's adding up, I just gotta find out how my mom and TaeHyung's parents got tangled up together.
