Three days later, Shubman Gill found himself lounging in his flat after a long day of practice, the soft glow of the evening sun filtering through the window.

He'd been scrolling through his phone, half-heartedly watching a match replay, when something caught his eye.

He glanced up, sensing movement in the building across the street. Curiosity piqued, he moved closer to the window, squinting slightly to get a better look.

His heart raced as he recognized the familiar silhouette—Kyra Mahalakshmi, bustling about in her new flat.

Boxes were strewn around the small living room, and she was clearly in the middle of unpacking.

Shubman's breath hitched when he noticed Coco nestled comfortably in her arms, the golden retriever wagging her tail enthusiastically, her little paws playfully scratching at Kyra's chin.

"Look at that!" Shubman exclaimed, a grin spreading across his face. The sight of Kyra, busy organizing her new home with her dog by her side, filled him with warmth.

It was a domestic scene that felt so inviting, so... real.

Kyra was wearing a cozy oversized sweater that hung loosely off one shoulder, paired with some high-waisted jeans.

Her hair was pulled back in a messy bun, and she was clearly caught up in her own world, humming softly to herself as she moved from one box to another.

Just then, she caught a glimpse of something outside, and her eyes flickered toward Shubman's window. Time seemed to freeze for a moment as their gazes locked.

He felt a rush of adrenaline, and excitement coursing through him.

Kyra's face lit up with a surprised smile, her eyes sparkling. She waved, her free hand raising in greeting, and Shubman instinctively waved back, unable to contain his grin.

"Hey!" she called out, her voice carrying softly across the distance. "I didn't know you lived so close!"

"Yeah, I just realized that too!" he replied, his excitement bubbling over. "How's the move going?"

"It's a work in progress!" she laughed, glancing back at the chaotic living room. "Coco is being a great help, as you can see."

She gently placed Coco down, and the pup promptly bounded around, exploring her new surroundings.
