CHAPTER 15: Mr. Total Douchebag
Valerie saw his hand tapping the window and she rolled it down so he could get her attention. " It's been a long time since you left me here! Time flew!" commented Valerie softly. " Your time is on my schedule, and it is so far clear as day, and the weather is nice and you gonna need to go shopping in your closet for a cute dress, considering we have another event to go to tomorrow, you are still available, i'm all yours for the weekend!" teased Wyatt. " Remember this is only temporary dating, well tomorrow cause it's gonna be a long one. Only this time today ...I actually just want us to hang as friends, we barely talk, nobody will suspect a thing, for once we can just be ourselves..at least until curfew!" informed Wyatt.
" Choose: Your place or mine?" questioned Valerie with a sarcastic look. " I could be busy but not too busy to add you to my to do list!" Wyatt gives her a slight smirk. " I know you think I'm a handful, but that's why you have two. You already know how I feel about you, so what do you say about the plan? Reservations only last tonight, and we are just going as friends." offered Wyatt. Valerie gives him a slight grin before answering. " Chatting you up, calling you , staying up late..Just listing the things that make you happy. " said Valerie spontaneously. " Other than that can you grab my arm, so I can tell everyone, I was touched by an angel!" joked Wyatt. " Well here I am, what are your other two wishes!" replied Valerie laughing. " Or you should do some soul searching, you might find one!" she recalled.
" I would say god bless you but he already had, you got me! As your fake boyfriend at your service!" teased Wyatt he smiled back at Valerie. " If you want me to accept you as you are..I'm gonna have to lie to myself about fake dating you!" she muttered. " I was feeling bad, until you spoke to me..those sweet words!" commented Wyatt. " Oh, by the way, wear that smile you gave me!" he said gently, quickly he jumped back inside the car before Jared got back from inside.
Jared finally made his way back to his car, he saw Wyatt chatting with Valerie. " If you want me to take her back to campus, I can take her for you at least until you get off from your shift." insisted Jared. " Works for me, besides he seems to be occupied this weekend. From what I heard, there is another occasion, where I'm somehow involved. What did he tell you?" questioned Valerie confused. " That he likes you, just kidding! I can't say anything because it is not my place to intervene. " joked Jared as he started his car and drove them back to the cafe. " This was fun while it lasted, want us to swing on after 6pm?" asked Jared softly.
" I guess so! Just don't forget to bring yourself, and a nice outfit, and I will see you later!" responded Wyatt as he got out of the car, lucky there were tons of people outside the cafe that no one noticed him. " Hey, keep these safe with you! I don't want to lose them or my uncle will kill me, just til I get off!" whispered Wyatt to Jared. He gave him the keys. " I will guard them with my life, but when do we get the car? " asked Jared quietly. " I texted Webber to take the spare keys & drop the car here at my job before my shift ends!" informed Wyatt silently. Valerie was playing on her phone and wasn't listening to either of them.
Wyatt left in a hurry. Valerie took her earphones off and noticed Wyatt was off to work and Jared was on the phone with his girlfriend while she was stuck sitting in a hot car with the window down. She just sighed from boredom. Jared gives her side eye look before hanging up the phone. " Something on your mind?" asked Jared kindly. " Yeah, why did I agree to do any of this? I didn't even ask to be a part of this crazy scheme, not to mention this has been going on way before I met Wyatt. Why now, do I feel like I am being taken advantage of?" asked Valerie, upset. " I promise you, he's different regardless of what other people tell you about him. Honestly all he ever talks about is you, I say that is a start to bring new friendship!" assured Jared. " All this is fake, we aren't close to being friends yet! Hardly talk unless it is about homework, or tutoring. I just want to have fun, not be someone's personal assistant " implied Valerie. " Personally, he's not trying to use up any of your time, outside of being his tutor, he just wants to get to know you!" commented Jared. " It might take him some time!"
