it's been weeks.

weeks of polite nods and 'hey, how are you's' that don't mean anything.

weeks of seeing him in the halls and feeling my heart drop when he doesn't even try to talk to me.

i don't think i've ever missed someone this much in my life...

so when eunseok said,

"come on, let's go to the jinhae gunhangje festival this weekend," i almost said no.

i mean, it's just another chance to miss heeseung all over again, right?

but eunseok insisted, flashing that ridiculously charming smile of his, and i caved.

"fine, but only if you buy me those fish-shaped buns."

"it's called bungeoppang jake."

"whatever, buy me that."

day of the festival

I waited infront of the train station, i was wearing a simple hoodie and jeans, nothing special, just hoping to blend in with the crowd.

i checked my phone for the hundredth time, glancing at the time, and then glanced up just as eunseok came strolling over, a bright smile on his face...

and a giant watermelon under his arm.

"wtf. why are you bringing the largest watermelon ever onto the train.." I stared at the multitude of food items that he was carrying in his tote bag.

"i'm gonna make hwachae on the train, duh."
