SOME THINGS ARE BETTER OFF ON HOW IT IS.

.

.

As the day started, Night was back to his usual self- get back to work.

He still couldn't brush off what had happened in the morning as well as yesterday. He tried to forget it- but his heart clenched remembering Sun's expression.

Without knowledge, he had hurt his little sister whom he had tried- vowed to protect all his life.

Night was lost in his thoughts- unknown to him that the coffee he was making already spilled on the table and was leaking to ground.

"Night." He was awoken with the sudden yelling. Confused, he turned to find Satang- his eyes wide signalling him to look down.

As he did, "Fuck-" He cursed stepping away.

Sighing, he took a deep breathe looking to the ceiling as Satang stepped forward to him.

"Hey- are you really fine?" His voice was filled with worry. Night wanted to spill- every single mess that is happening to his life, about the stalker- work- fear.

What could he possibly say? Who would believe him? He wasn't hurt physically- but mentally, he was drained.

He took a deep breathe, calming his shoulder down and passed a small smile nodding. "It's nothing."

Satang wanted to argue further knowing that Night would not be replying him but before he could, Night turned to pick a towel and started cleaning the table.

"Night." Satang called softly. "Something has happened- I can sense it but I don't know why you are hiding it from me."

The air felt heavy for Night, it was suffocating him- choking him in despair as the grip on the towel tightened.

His eyes felt glossy- he had people who looked after him but was it all? He couldn't just cry out to them and knowing what burden they were carrying- could he just add another one?

"I-I am fine. Really." He said with a bitter smile. He wanted to get out- hide from the worried gaze, he casually looked around for a mop.

"Now- go look for orders. I have to clean here." He shooed him away with a playful smile.

Satang had no choice, so suspiciously- he just nodded and walked away.

Sensing that he was no longer around the gaze, he stopped smiling- letting out a deep breathe, he focused on what he was doing.

Night's mind were still drifting to Sun... Had he been harsh to her? Would she still be crying? He must have disappointed her.

These thoughts were killing him- Sun was the only family, and he was pushing her away and it was all his own fault. Fuck- he felt weak, helpless.

Just then, his phone lit up with a notification.

The sound didn't seem right. His guts were telling him- something was off.

He gulped- what if it was him.

Night suddenly felt everything go blur- just the distance with him and his mobile phone that was resting on the table. Just then-

*ring*

He flinched... taking a small step towards the table. And seeing the name lit up, he let out a relief sigh.

Mr. Bae(Coffee shop).

It was the owner of the shop he was working in morning shift. But- why was he calling him? His face frowned in confusion.
