Author's POV
Days were passing quickly, and it has been two weeks since Josephine had begun her private lessons while attempting to manage her normal group sessions, work, and school. She was overwhelmed and feeling trapped.
Ballet sessions were becoming something she dreaded with Leo. His training approach was direct and uncomfortably intimate. One might say, inappropriate.
A new week had rolled around, and it was once again time for her Monday training with Leo. She gets home from school and prepares her bag for class, until she receives a call from an unknown number.
"Hello?"
"Josephine? It's Kimberley! How are you?"
"Oh, hello! I'm well, you?" Her heart skipped a beat the moment she heard the older woman's voice.
"I'm doing well. Listen, I know you're off today, but I've got some ideas for seasonal holiday pastries that I am going to test out. I could use an extra set of hands today. Would you be up to coming in? If you'd like of course"
Josephine smiles, "Yes! I'd love to help. What time do you need me?"
"Let's do 5? I won't keep you too late, promise!" She laughs
"That sounds perfect. I'll see you then!"
They end the call, and Josie releases a sigh of relief. She sends a text to Leo advising him that she'll need to cancel her lesson today. She needed a break from her trainings, and she was excited to work with Kimberley.
