November 13th 2016:

A dark alleyway can be filled with many secrets. Some people may think that there is danger there, drunk men, thieves, or dangerous creatures that haunt you. But for two eight year olds it was home, at least for the time being, an escape from the cruel world and the shelter they needed when they ran away from their abusive home. Their situation wasn't great, but it was enough to keep them alive.

Both girls are curled up in a tiny corner of the dark alley, where their two tiny bags rest beside them. Inside both bags contain a few clothes, a photo taken four years ago and a packet of crackers they had stolen from one of the nearby shops.

The night falls onto the City of London, shadows turning darker and darker while the temperature went from a nice cool sensation to a freezing cold which made way inside their body and stealing the warmth, both girls started to shiver and cuddling closer to get some warmth and not to freeze to death. The hours pass slowly, and finally both girls fall asleep.

Meanwhile, in another spot of a city there was a blonde woman, her emerald green eyes shone with the lights from the city beneath her feet. She hears footsteps approaching, her eyes look towards the sound only to find her sister Natali standing in the doorway from her room. Natali's brown eyes staring back at her with a hint of concern.

"Hey, everything alright?" she asks while motioning for her to take a seat next to her.

Shouldn't I be the one asking that question, sis? " She replies, taking a seat and pulling her sister in a hug and resting her head on her shoulder.

"Nat, seriously I'm fine, maybe just a little stressed out and tired. Now that I've answered your question, would you answer mine? She says with a sigh, deep down she knows stress is the tip of the iceberg. She's worried because her new album Joanne hasn't had the reception she expected. Of course she knew it was totally different from what she's done before, but wanted to show her more vulnerable side, the person behind the mask.

"I'm fine, just a little worried about you, Stef. You're worrying too much about what people think about Joanne. I can notice you've been spending too much time online reading comments and opinions of people who don't know a damn thing about you. That could give you a flare up, Stef" She says with a mix of worry and anger.

"I know, I know, but I cannot seem to let it slide." I slide my fingers through my hair.

This album means so much to me, but it seems it wasn't enough, it's so frustrating! " I say muttering the words as sadness takes over my body.My sister notices and hugs me even tighter and starts placing kisses on top of my head.

These past days were not the greatest, all the anxiety and stress by releasing a new album which was something completely opposite to what I've been writing and producing so far.

Nat turns her head to look at me with a grin "We could go on a walk through the city now that's dark and besides no one would be out so we don't have to fear being spotted by paparazzi. What do you say?"

I grin back at her with a smile appearing in my lips "I'm in, just let me grab my jacket real quick. But seriously Nat, I'd appreciate it if we are back before dawn. I really want to sleep, tomorrow's a really busy day" I say not wanting to get into any more trouble.

She just looks at me and laughs while saying "Yeah, Yeah, I don't want Bobby kicking your ass if you're not well rested and ready for that photoshoot". I roll my eyes at the comment while grabbing my leather jacket, I put it on and as quick as lightning and grab her hand, earning a little squeal in surprise as we took off through the door and the corridor.

As we were reaching the elevator, I hear some of the voices from the staff of the Haus around the corner, we stop dead in our tracks and quiet down our laughs, We wait for what seems to be an eternity, when finally we hear the voices fading and the sound of doors being shut. We look into each other eyes and burst out laughing and continue running towards the elevator, once we are inside we just try to recompose ourselves so no one notices us getting out of the hotel.

The cold London air hits me, sending a shiver down my spine, we start walking without a clear direction, talking about everything but my work or something related to my newest record. At some point it starts to rain and my crazy sister starts dancing under the rain laughing, but when realizes I'm not following her lead grabs my hand and says "Come on Steff! It's fun, I promise!" I just shrug, looking both ways just to make sure there's no paparazzi or some unwanted eyes.

Once I make sure there's no one there I dance besides Natali, some moves are on our own but we end up dancing as a couple, my movements complementing hers and the other way around. With each move I feel nothing but pure happiness and joy, that's until I hear soft whimpers.

At first I thought it was from a stray dog, but the more we approach to the sound the more you could tell it was human."Hey Nat? Did you hear that?" I say trying to convince myself of what I heard was just my imagination."If I hear what, Steff?" She says with confusion."I thought I heard whimpers," I whisper to her. She looks at me and listens carefully, I do the same, hoping not to hear them again. As we listen carefully, nothing happens, just silence. "Steff, I can't hear anything. Are you sure it wasn't just the wind? " Natalie says to me with a slight joking tone. I shake my head.

"I heard it, I swear! They were coming from that alley over there " I say and point to where I thought was the source of the sound. She places a hand on my shoulder.

"But we don't hear anything now. Look, I think it's time to go back and maybe tomorrow when we have a moment, we can come here again and look in there" She says pointing to the alley.

I nod my head, trying not to let my stubbornness win.

How many chances were there of what I heard being true, not just my imagination or the wind? Besides I don't want to put us in danger, it's late and we are in a foreign city. I take one last look at the alley, I turn around to see my sister waiting for me with her arm stretch out to me. We link arms and start heading back to the hotel.

But not even a couple of streets away, a high pitch scream fills the night.

Hi there!

So, this is my first time ever writting a story here in Wattpad. I really don't know if this story might have support or if it's good enough. I'd really appreciate your feedback and opinions about the story. And please don't hold back any ideas for future chapters or about the spelling, English is not my first language but as strange as it sounds I really like writting in it.

So here goes my question: Do you think I should continue with this crazy idea of mine? What do you thing happens next?

P.S: I'll try to update one or two chapters per week. It might depend on school work and inspiration <3 <3 <3
