The air was alive with anticipation as the royal court of Kosala buzzed with excitement. Krishna, a well-known acquaintance of the kingdom, arrived in grand fashion, his presence commanding respect and admiration. The vibrant tapestries of the hall adorned the walls, and the golden chandeliers cast a warm glow over the gathering.

“Your Majesty, it is an honor,” Krishna greeted King Kosala and Queen malini , bowing gracefully. His charisma was undeniable as he engaged them in lighthearted conversation, weaving tales of distant lands and great adventures. The queen smiled brightly, clearly enchanted by his charm.

After exchanging pleasantries and parting ways with the royal couple, Krishna stepped outside, where the gentle breeze rustled the leaves overhead. His gaze fell upon Janhvi, who was standing near the fountain, her thoughts clearly elsewhere. A determined glint shone in her eyes, revealing the bold spirit beneath her gentle demeanor.

“Janhvi!” he called, a smile brightening his face as he approached her. “Sakhi, I have news that you must hear.”

Her eyes widened with curiosity. “What is it, Krishna?”

“The Kalapradarshan in Hastinapur is soon upon us. You should attend,” he advised, his tone earnest. “It is a gathering where the princes will showcase their skills learned under Dronacharya. This could be a remarkable opportunity for you.”

Janhvi felt a thrill of excitement course through her veins at the thought of the event. “Kalapradarshan? But… I know what happens there,” she replied, her expression thoughtful. “Karna’s entry, his friendship with Duryodhana… it’s all part of the great Mahabharata.”

“Precisely!” Krishna exclaimed, his eyes sparkling. “And you could be part of it, Janhvi. This is your chance to witness history in the making.”

Aarvi, who had been leaning against a nearby pillar, rolled her eyes at Krishna's words. She understood his intentions all too well. “What he really means, Janhvi, is that he wants you to fall in love with one of those princes—Pandavas, Karna, or even the Kauravas. It’s a perfect recipe for chaos,” she quipped, a smirk forming on her lips.

Janhvi’s cheeks flushed slightly at the mention of the Pandavas, but she quickly regained her composure. “But what if that’s exactly what I want?” she said boldly, her gaze steady. “What if I could change the course of history? This could be my moment to shine! I want to show the world that there’s more to our story than just the fate laid out for us.”

Krishna nodded, pleased with her spirited response. “Exactly! You have the power to influence the events to come. This is your destiny calling.”

“Destiny?” Aarvi scoffed, crossing her arms defiantly. “More like a dramatic soap opera waiting to unfold. I’d rather not be a part of that mess.”

“Come on, Aarvi!” Janhvi urged, her enthusiasm bubbling over. “Think of the adventure! Witnessing the princes in their prime, the strength, the skills! This is a chance to be part of something extraordinary! We can show everyone that we can make our choices!”

Krishna glanced at Aarvi, who appeared unimpressed. “You could also go, Aarvi. Who knows? You might meet your own destiny there,” he said, a teasing lilt to his voice.

“Yeah, right,” Aarvi replied, rolling her eyes with a hint of sarcasm. “I’ll pass. I’m not interested in royal drama or finding a prince. I’m perfectly content in my chambers with my books and pillows.”

She turned to leave, mumbling, “Goodbye to the chaos. Count me out.”

Janhvi, unfazed by her sister’s dismissal, turned back to Krishna with determination etched on her face. “I will attend Kalapradarshan. I want to experience it all—the glory, the battles, the chance to make my mark in history! I want to show that we women can be more than just background players in this epic.”
