Inseong woke up the morning after his workout with Jaeyoon, still processing the surprising change that had happened between them. He hadn't expected to get along so well with his new neighbor, and the unfamiliar feeling unsettled him. Despite the pleasant conversation with Jaeyoon, Inseong couldn't shake the feeling that Jaeyoon simply didn't suit him.
"It was nice overall," he thought to himself nervously, "but there's something about Jaeyoon that really irritates me."
He went downstairs to the kitchen, hoping a strong coffee would clear his thoughts. As he sipped his coffee and looked out the window, Inseong saw Jaeyoon walking towards the gym, as if inviting him to join again.
"That's not happening," he said out loud, trying to convince himself not to get caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts about Jaeyoon again.
On the other side, Jaeyoon couldn't get Inseong out of his head. Every workout at the gym, every conversation between them only heightened his confusion. "Why is he so distant sometimes?" Jaeyoon thought, recalling Inseong's cold expression.
Jaeyoon met up with one of his old friends Zuho at the park that day. "So, how's it going with your new neighbor?" Zuho asked with a grin. "I saw him once; he seems like an interesting guy."
"Yeah... he's interesting, but he's also kind of... annoying," Jaeyoon complained, struggling to find the right words to describe the growing tension between them. "Like, there's something about him that draws me in, but at the same time, he manages to get on my nerves."
"Maybe you're just more interested in him than you're willing to admit?" Zuho laughed, but Jaeyoon wasn't sure if it was just a joke.
Meanwhile, Inseong tried to ignore the fact that his thoughts about Jaeyoon were beginning to take over. He tried focusing on other things, but every time he saw him, it made him rethink everything.
"Why am I even thinking about him so much?" he wondered over and over, frustrated with himself.

Thus, the quiet animosity between them continued to grow, and the tension between the two started to affect them more and more. They couldn't avoid each other, but at the same time, they couldn't understand the reason behind the antagonism that was building up.
