Truth sat on the edge of his bed, the morning light streaming through his window, illuminating the scattered notes and sketches he had created during the past week. His heart raced as he flipped through the pages of his new dream journal, the only tangible link he had to Moon. Each entry chronicled fragments of their encounters her laugh, the way her hair caught the light, the overwhelming feeling of recognition that came with seeing her.

Determined to remember every detail, he resolved to capture even the smallest nuances, hoping it would strengthen their bond. He thought about how each dream left him with a lingering ache, a longing that felt both familiar and foreign. It was as if he were searching for something he had lost long ago.

After a quick breakfast, Truth decided to head to the local library. He hoped to find books about dreams, lucid dreaming techniques, or anything that could help him understand the mysterious connection he shared with Moon. The cool morning air felt refreshing against his skin as he walked, the town waking up around him.

At the library, he found a quiet corner and settled into a chair with a stack of books. He lost himself in the pages, diving into theories about dreams and their significance. Hours slipped by as he scribbled notes, ideas bouncing around in his mind. One book suggested that dreams could be a form of communication between souls, transcending time and space. Truth’s heart raced at the thought. Could it be possible that he and Moon were connected on a deeper level?

His phone buzzed, pulling him out of his thoughts. It was a text from his best friend, Jake.

Hey! Want to hang out later? Maybe grab a bite?

Truth hesitated, torn between wanting to spend time with Jake and the nagging urge to dive back into his research. He typed a quick reply.

Yeah, sounds good. What time?

As he waited for Jake's response, he glanced around the library. The quiet atmosphere felt comforting, yet he couldn’t shake the sense of urgency building inside him. He needed to understand what was happening to him, why he felt so drawn to Moon.

When Jake arrived, he slid into the chair across from Truth, his face lighting up with a grin. “What’s got you so deep in thought? You look like you’re solving the world’s problems.”

Truth chuckled, shaking his head. “Just reading about dreams.”

“Dreams? Like, what? Nightmares and all that?” Jake asked, leaning back in his chair with an amused expression.

“More like how they can mean something,” Truth replied, trying to gauge Jake’s reaction. “I’ve been having these really intense dreams about this girl… Moon. It feels real, you know? Like I’ve known her forever.”

Jake raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. “Moon? That’s a cool name. So, what’s the deal with her?”

Truth hesitated, unsure how to explain the depth of his feelings. “It’s complicated. We meet in this dream world, but when I wake up, I forget everything about her. I’m trying to figure out why we keep connecting, what it all means.”

Jake leaned forward, intrigued. “Sounds like a movie plot, man. Are you sure you’re not just imagining things?”

“I thought that too,” Truth said, frustration creeping into his voice. “But it’s different. I can feel her. It’s like there’s something important that I’m missing.”

“Okay, okay. So what are you going to do about it?” Jake asked, folding his arms.

Truth felt a spark of determination. “I’m going to try and remember. I started a dream journal to keep track of everything. I want to find a way to bring her into my waking life.”

Jake nodded slowly, a thoughtful look on his face. “That’s kind of cool. But you might want to chill out a bit, you know? It’s just a dream.”

“I know, but it doesn’t feel just like a dream,” Truth insisted. “It’s like… I can’t explain it. There’s something special about her.”

Jake sighed, clearly not fully understanding. “Alright, man. Just don’t get too caught up in it. Let’s go grab some food. You need to clear your head.”

Truth agreed, but as they left the library, his mind was still racing. What if Jake was right? What if he was losing himself in a fantasy? But deep down, he knew that his connection with Moon was unlike anything he had ever experienced.

Later that evening, as Truth lay in bed, he pulled out his dream journal again, flipping to the most recent entry. He read over his words, recalling the warmth of Moon’s smile, the way her laughter echoed in the clearing.

“Please,” he whispered into the quiet of his room, “let me remember you.”

He closed his eyes, allowing himself to drift into the space between waking and dreaming, hoping that tonight would be different.

As he surrendered to sleep, he felt a gentle pull, as if the universe were aligning to guide him back to Moon.
