Jungkook stood at his office window, glaring across the street at the towering Kim's building. His fingers drummed on the desk impatiently. The sheer audacity of Taehyung, occupying a floor that overlooked his own. No, this wouldn't do. His competitive spirit simmered, demanding that he maintain the upper hand in every way possible.

"Yeonjun," he called out.

Yeonjun appeared almost instantly, like he was waiting for his boss's unpredictable demands.

"Shift my office to the 13th floor. We should not live at a height lower than our rival-it would be so disrespectful to us," Jungkook ordered, his eyes narrowing at the Kim's building. "Also, arrange a meeting with some builders. I want to build our company's building higher than theirs."

Yeonjun hesitated, already dreading the tantrum to come. "Sir, but we've reached the maximum height allowed by the city's building laws. We can't build any higher."

Jungkook snickered, leaning back in his chair. "Then shift my office to a higher floor, make sure it's above Kim's heir's office."

Yeonjun's eyebrow twitched. "You mean Kim Taehyung, sir?"

"Hush!" Jungkook shot him a glare. "Don't take our enemy's name in our company. He's a nobody here."

Yeonjun suppressed a sigh, bowing respectfully. "Yes, sir."

As he turned to leave, Jungkook's voice stopped him again.

"And bring me the latest edition of telescopes too."

Yeonjun paused, not sure he heard correctly. "The telescopes, sir?"

"Yes," Jungkook said with a smirk.

"Okay, sir," Yeonjun said, nodding as he jotted the bizarre request on his tablet. "Should I get it delivered to your home or... Kim's home?"

Jungkook scowled at him. He didn't have a permanent residence-he either stayed at the Jeons' estate or sometimes at the Kims' home, depending on his mood. But right now, his focus was on business.

"Deliver it here," Jungkook ordered, "I'll need it to watch our rival's every move ."

Yeonjun sighed inwardly as he left the room. His boss's obsession of rivalry with Kim Taehyung was borderline unhealthy, but orders were orders.

---

Within six hours, Jungkook's office had been relocated to the 13th floor, putting him at the exact same height as Taehyung's. The office staff installed a sleek telescope right by the large glass window that provided a perfect view of the Kim Group building. It was positioned precisely so Jungkook could keep an eye on Taehyung's office across the street.

Satisfied, Jungkook smiled and sat down in his new office chair, gazing out of the window with an air of triumph. His rivalry with Taehyung wasn't just business-it was personal. He had to be better, had to prove himself superior at all costs. He was going to snatch every deal from under Taehyung's nose.

As he worked on his upcoming presentation, Yeonjun entered with a fruit bowl in hand.

"Sir, it's time for your second serving of fruit for the day," Yeonjun said cautiously, knowing how his boss could react to such interruptions.

Jungkook barely looked up from his laptop. "I don't want to eat, Yeonjun. I'm busy."

Yeonjun, already imagining Taehyung's wrath if Jungkook didn't follow his instructions, tried again. "Sir, please, this is the last one for today."

Jungkook's eyes flickered to the fruit bowl, clearly uninterested, but he was too focused on his work to argue. "Fine, just leave it there."

Yeonjun sighed in relief. "Thank you, sir."

He quickly placed the bowl on the desk, grateful that his boss was too absorbed in his rivalry to throw a fit. Jungkook ate a few bites without much fuss, as his mind was too preoccupied with the thought of beating Taehyung. His work ethic was fueled by the need to one-up the man across the street. Every deal, every business venture was a personal challenge between them.

As Jungkook took another bite of the fruit, his gaze drifted back to the telescope, the urge to check in on Taehyung's office creeping into his mind. He stood and walked toward the window, adjusting the telescope's focus. The floor of Kim Taehyung's office came into sharp view. There he was, sitting calmly at his desk, as though nothing in the world could bother him.

Jungkook narrowed his eyes. How could Taehyung sit there, so composed, as if Jungkook wasn't a threat? It infuriated him. The confidence in Taehyung's every move felt like a slap to Jungkook's pride.

The man looked so annoyingly at ease. Just then, something unexpected happened. Taehyung, in the middle of sipping his coffee, accidentally spilled it over himself.

Jungkook's lips twitched into a small, amused smirk as he saw Taehyung flinch and mutter something under his breath , Jungkook giggled in mockery . The man cursed, visibly frustrated as he looked down at his soaked shirt. Taehyung stood up and walked over to a cupboard in the corner of his office, pulling out a fresh white T-shirt.

Jungkook's amusement quickly faded as he watched Taehyung undo the buttons of his shirt. He swallowed hard, suddenly unable to tear his eyes away from the sight unfolding in front of him. The shirt slipped off Taehyung's shoulders, revealing his sculpted back and the smooth expanse of his skin. Jungkook's mouth went dry as his eyes traced the flex of muscles, the sheer masculinity in Taehyung's posture making his stomach twist in a way he hadn't expected.

He leaned closer to the telescope, feeling his heartbeat quicken against his will. Taehyung's body was nothing short of godly.

Then, as if the universe was mocking him, Taehyung turned around, giving Jungkook a full view of his toned chest and abs. Jungkook's breath hitched, his pulse racing as his eyes roamed over every inch of Taehyung's physique.

And then, just as Taehyung was buttoning up his fresh T-shirt, he suddenly looked directly at Jungkook. The smirk that spread across his lips was unmistakable-Taehyung had seen him.

Jungkook's heart stopped. For a moment, he couldn't move, couldn't breathe. The confident, knowing look on Taehyung's face sent a jolt of something electric through him. That smug smile seemed to say, I know you're watching.

Jungkook's face heated up, flustered and caught off guard by the realization that Taehyung had likely known the whole time. Taehyung winked, buttoning up the last of his shirt before casually walking back to his desk as if nothing had happened.

Heat surged through Jungkook's veins. He stepped back from the telescope, trying to shake off the odd flutter of emotion that accompanied the wink. This wasn't a game. This was war.

Shaking his head, Jungkook returned to his desk, clenching his fists in determination. No matter how much Taehyung tried to get under his skin, he would stay focused. Jungkook's eyes burned with resolve as he turned his attention back to his work. He had deals to win, presentations to perfect, and a rival to defeat.

"Kim Meanie Taehyung, just wait and watch how I snatch the most important deal from under your nose," Jungkook muttered, his determination sharpening as he turned back to his desk. His eyes burned with focus, the earlier moment with Taehyung fueling his drive even more.

He began typing furiously, going over the details of the upcoming business proposal he knew both companies were vying for. This was just the beginning-Taehyung wouldn't know what hit him. Jungkook would ensure that every step he took from here on out was precise, calculated, and one step ahead of his rival.

With a satisfied smirk, he settled deeper into his chair, ready to claim victory. The game between them had only just started.
