In memory of Kirby Morrow...
Me: Welcome back, everyone, to another episode of the News Reporter after the battle against the Crystal King. Building's have collapsed, the Ninja's Monastery has been destroyed, and people are terrified, but we have a very special guest with us today. You might know him as the muscle and ground of the team—Cole, the Earth elemental!
Cole: Hello, guys! <waves his hand in front of the camera> How are you all holding up?
Me: Thank you for joining us today, Cole—I know that you and the others are trying your best to fix the Monastery after what happened. I feel really bad.
Cole, nodding in agreement: Yeah, it's pretty banged up<scratches neck awkwardly> Master Wu took the most hit, though—it's been his home for as long as he can remember. <takes a deep breath> I'm just glad no one got hurt or...something worse."
Dead silence for a few moments.
Me: Wow, yeah, totally. I'm glad everyone is safe, but the citizens of Ninjago are pretty shaken up. Is there anything you want to say?
Cole, looking directly at the camera, which zoomed on his face: I know all of you been through a lot lately, and you're all pretty scared about the future or what will happened. Maybe some of you lost a loved one along the way. <looks away> But I learned the hard way that giving up won't change anything. You got to keep going, no matter what it takes. We've been turned to stone by Oni's, torn apart by Garmadon's raid, washed by the ocean, and now--now we had an entire crystal army destroy out city! <chuckles sadly> That's another thing off the list. We're still standing, though. Together. <standing up, he points at the sky> Our loved ones will always be there for us, in our hearts through the darkest of times. We can't lose hope. We must strive on, strong and as a group. Always.
More silence.
Me: Wow. That really touched my heart <wipes a tear> Are you telling me you don't think of what's ahead? What if it's something big we can't handle?
Cole, a few minutes later: Honestly...I ain't worried about it.
THE END <3
