Kyan
It's been about four months since I've talked to Hazel, and since Thad talked to Olive. Things changed between us and the girls and it was all because we all had a pride that was too big to even communicate.
Thad was messed up. I could really tell that he had feelings for Olive, and no matter how many times I tell him to talk to her, he won't. He whined about how she had disrespected his name and his reputation was ruined. I asked him if his name or his girl was more important and he couldn't even look me in my eye. He may love her, but he's not in love with her.
Thad and I pulled up to the game store. I turned the car off and just as I was about to get out, Hazel walked out with somebody else.
Thad raced up to her and immediately started to talk to her, as the guy kissed her cheek and said he would be waiting in the car.
I got out and joined their conversation, and she acted like I wasn't even standing there. She blamed me for the whole picture incident. She insisted that I knew about the pictures and I had somebody to follow me and help me put those pictures up. It was all because I laughed at the situation instead of being pissed off like she did.
"You just gone act like I ain't standin' hea'?" I asked her and she rolled her eyes without looking at me. "Hazel."
"What, Kyan?" She spat.
"Wassup with you? I ain't talked to you in months, you run off and get another nigga, and now you ignorin' me."
"I can do whatever I want. You ain't my bitch or my nigga." She smiled and I grit my teeth together so hard that I thought they would smash to pieces in my mouth.
"You still on that too?" I asked after controlling my anger. "I thought we were done with that?"
"Whatever, Kyan. All you did was fucked me and led me on. You never really cared about me and I hate you. I don't ever wanna talk to you or see you again outside of school." She quickly turned on her heels and my eyes followed her to the guys car. It looked like he questioned her and she yelled at him to just drive off.
I stood there for a few minutes trying to figure out what the hell just happened.
This is all my fault. I pushed her to her limit and I treated her like she was my mother. In reality, they're nothing alike and I feel like she actually cares about me .. well I guess I should say cared. All of that shit is out the window now.
Shit went on like that for another 2 months. I would see her around with this nigga. He looked rough as fuck and I really couldn't stand the sight of him. What I couldn't stand more was that weird ass feeling in my chest that I got every time I saw them together. I saw the smile on her face and I couldn't stand the fact that I wasn't the one putting in on her face.
What the fuck is this?
I was shooting hoops in the gym. It takes my mind off of everything. Prom was slowly approaching and I had two options. Go alone or find some random broad to bang the night out with.
Olive walked in. She looked different. She had gained a little weight and I know about three months ago she and Thad had fixed everything and my nigga had completely fallen in love with her. Her hair was in a ponytail and it had dreads in it. It was actually dope as fuck.
"Kyan." She whispered quietly. Her voice was unsteady and she took a deep breath as her eyes started to water.
"Yo' ma', what's wrong?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
