"Hey, can you come pick me up? I kind of want to go somewhere" I said with a shaky voice. The caller spoke with a calming and reassuring tone "Sure, I'll be there in 10 minutes" I hung up. I flexed my back in instinct like I was flexing my wings, expecting a few feathers to fall "Oh, right..." I sighed as none fell. My phone buzzed with a simple message "I'm here" I looked out my window, spotting Mt. Lady in her car.

I head outside, her warm smile waiting for me. She unlocked her car, waving at me. "Hey, you" she beamed, I just muttered "Hey" in a monotone voice. She shot a glance at me, clearly worried about my well-being. I spoke up after what seemed like a while "So, what's going on with the commission?" I asked, knowing she had worked with them on a few occasions, all she did was shrug "Couldn't tell you, there isn't one" She spoke, without taking her eyes off the road. My eyes widen, almost like they were about to pop out of their sockets "There...isn't one? What do you mean there isn't one?" All she did was look at me like I missed a massive event "Seriously? Weren't you the closest with the president?" I just shrugged. Sure, I was close, but I was nothing more than a tool, a puppet for them, I knew their darkest secret, yet I kept my mouth shut, thinking I was saving more lives. "After the fight, I kind of lost consciousness, when I woke up the war was over. I had tried to reach the office, but when no one answered, I kind of thought that coms were down."

Mt. Lady glanced at me while we waited for a light to turn green "While you were fighting All For One, there was an attack at the Comision's base. It was Re-Destro. The Commission thought they could arrest him; however, it wasn't re-Destro. It was a Twice clone who was able to use Re-Destro's quirk and destroy the entire building."

"A Twice clone? I thought he was dead after I-" I stopped talking, not wanting to think about that day as I gingerly placed a hand on my left jaw, covering the scar that Dabi had given me. Memories started to flood back of that day, asking Twice to turn himself in, hoping to get him the help he desperately needed, but Twice refused as he started to duplicate himself, yelling at me how I was another person that betrayed him. He was one of the better people, however, I was there on a mission, and I couldn't afford to make attachments.

"Thanks for the ride" I unbuckle my seat belt. My driver this time was none other than Mt Lady herself. I tried to suggest that she could just grow but, she refused to use her powers unless she had to, which is fair, I suppose, especially with everything she's been through as well."You can't keep doing this Hawks" I froze at her sharp, yet worried tone. I knew she meant well, but she didn't get it, she didn't get what was going on. She still had her quirk; she was still a hero. Mt Lady had placed a hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me, yet I don't remember it, I just remember darkness.

My instincts kicked in, grabbing the hand that was on my shoulder as my vision adjusted. I finally saw the concerned look on her face as I let go of her wrist she pulled back and sighed "I can't imagine how hard things must be for-" I glared at her with rage in my eyes "No, you don't! And don't pretend like you do!" I finally get out, slamming the door shut behind me.

Guilt settled deep within the pit of my stomach. I snapped at a good friend. I was trained better than this, damn it! The commission trained me to keep my emotions in check, to manage them, so things like this wouldn't happen. It did happen though, I snapped. I looked at Mt. Lady "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to" I look down, like. Child who just said a bad word they weren't allowed to.

Mt. Lady looked at me, a soft smile on her face as she parked at the entrance of a building, I looked up at it reading "Mrs. Mayes Mind, body and soul" I look at my friend "Why did you bring me here? I don't need this" I state. She looks at me with concern and sympathy"Just try it. Please. You have been through so much, and maybe talking about it might actually help you"

I let out a reluctant sigh, after exiting the car and watching Mt. Lady drive off, I look at the building. A lump forms in my throat as I make my way inside, my movements were slow, calculated. I reach the front desk, a girl with scales running up and down her body looks at me. With a smile, she spoke "Are you a walk-in or do you have an appointment?" I look at her "uh... walk-in" she nodded, handing me a clipboard with paper to fill out

I look at the questions and fill them out, freezing at one of the questions "have you felt hopeless or useless" yes, I have, when I lost my quirk, when I was a child, when a student had to save me from Dabi, when I killed Twice. I wanted to mark off yes so much to a point the paper would tear into nothingness. I marked 'yes' and moved on quickly moved on before my thoughts could consume me.

I swiftly hand the paperwork back to the person at the desk. She smiled, reading the name and then looking at me, her smile during into a frown as it dawned on her who I was. Her fingers worked fast on the keyboard, her eyes darting back and forth. She looked at me, giving the papers back "I'm...sorry about your quirk...Mr. Hawks" she said. I just shake my head "Nah, just Hawks" I said before taking my seat in the waiting room.
