"Thanks for the ride," I unbuckle my seat belt. My driver this time was none other than Mt Lady herself.  I tried to suggest that she could just grow, but she refused to use her powers unless she had to, which is fair, I suppose.

"You can't keep doing this Hawks." I froze at her sharp tone. I knew she meant well, but she didn't get it. She didn't get what was going on. None of them did. All I could do was just nod. Her words were so far, I couldn't hear them.

My instincts kicked in, grabbing the hand that was on my shoulder as my vision adjusted. I finally saw the concern look on her face as I let go of her wrist as she pulls back and sighs "I can't imagine how hard this must be for-" I glare at her with rage in my eyes "No, you don't! And don't pretend like you do!" I finally get out, slamming the door shut behind me.

Guilt settled deep within the pit of my stomach. I snapped at a good friend. I was trained better than this, damn it! The commission trained me to keep my emotions in check, to manage them, so things like this wouldn't happen.
It did happen, though, I snapped. I look at the building, and it seems to be special about it. I force my feet to finally move, making my way inside.

As I walked inside, I had a sense that I was being watched. This feeling should be normal, right? The commission has been watching my every move since I was a child. Why did I get these feelings now?

I stand for a bit, trying to figure out where to go. From the corner of my eye, I see a doctor waving off a patient, glancing at me soon after. I take a deep breath and walk into the room behind them.
