Who is this book for?
This is a reader insert story, starring you, (or whoever you imagine in your place), and as I'm sure you'll already understand various old replacement acronyms like (y/n), etc.
if you don't, I'll place them at the bottom so you can read them.
For a heads up I will keep this as gender-neutral as possible and I don't plan on including any romance, (as of at the moment)
The age range for this is intended to be young adult,(Like 20s?) as that's the age range of the main character.
Context:
Alright so this story starts in gravity falls already, I will explain the specific context of (y/n)'s whereabouts and how they got here
(Writing a few chapters of context would be incredibly boring)
So to clarify, this is an AU which explores what life for Gravity Falls could look like after the Book of Bill.
Timeline:
In this context it is in fact 2024, or even a little over.
The characters will be older, I will put the ages at the bottom too.
Your character:
In this context, you, the main character (how special!) are working in Gravity Falls, for the mystery shack.
This is a job which had been offered through Wendy - who promoted you to her place in the mystery shack as assistant manager.
(She's too old for this)
As of chapter 1 - you are working two jobs.
That is your connection with the Pines'.
What is / isn't your character aware of?
Do they know about the weirdness in Gravity Falls? Ofcourse!
What about Bill?
In this context, MC doesn't know who Bill is.

Back to timeline, here are all the ages and where the characters are at!
Stanley - 73/75 - Retired, spending time with his family
Stanford - 73/75 - Working alongside Dipper being a nerd and trying to make sure Bill doesn't come back
Mabel - 25 - Moved out, lives in another part of Oregon after pursuing an art degree. Most likely a freelance artist / influencer.
Dipper - 25 - Pursued College to get a degree in science before moving back to Gravity Falls and working alongside Ford / being Ford's student.
Soos - 34 - runs the mystery shack
Wendy - 27 - ex co-manager of the mystery shack, still around, friend of MC, (they met online through a job gig - MC is now staying in Gravity Falls for a while, after an apprenticeship/degree, Wendy promoted them to work at the shack whilst she travels and finds a better job)
