DIPPER:
I went to our room and heard the shower going meaning Mable was up and about. I sat on my bed with my journal and a journal I had found earlier on our first day here. It was filled with the supernatural but it was severely outdated. The only page that seemed up to date was a page about a triangular dream demon. It was one of the few pages I decided to copy into my own journal leaving some spots blank for new information. "Dipper! What are you going to do toady?" She asked. I looked at her and made her promise not to tell Stan and take it from me. "I found a cave for my potential "me" space and I was going to check it out." I said and she nodded. "I want to come too." She said excitedly. I knew she would want to come so I nodded and we left together after eating breakfast. I brought the bag full of journals with us. It was a little ways of a walk but it wasn't a problem for me since, I could use magic to float even without my wings. Mable on the other hand was wheezing. "Dipper that's cheating!" She said and I laughed. "True." I said and decided to walk the rest of the way with her. After about thirty minutes and lots of breaks, we arrived at the falls."It's behind the falls." I said and then we went behind. Sure enough there was a huge cave like room and it was covering in crystals of all kinds. I loved it and knew Mable could see the "Dragon" nature in me coming out. My tail wagged excitedly and she swooned since she thought it was like an excited puppy. I put my bag down and decided I wanted to make it my "den" as Mable called it. I then decided to tell her about the little winged creatures in the forest and what they told me. "That's so cool! You'll evolve like a Pokémon!" She said excitedly. "I'm not sure I like the sound of that..." I said nervous about all of the new nicknames I knew she would undoubtedly come up with. "So...you met fairies?" She asked poking at a crystal. "I'm not sure, they had elven ears and butterfly type wings." I explained and showed her the image I drew in my sketchbook. "Bro, they were totally fairies. Also when did your drawing skills get this good?!" She said looking at the realistic picture I drew. "I..don't know?" I really didn't. "Okay but we have to go see the fairies!" She said excited. "Now?" She nodded so I sighed. "It's an hour walk from here." I said making her smile falter a bit. "Can't you fly me?" She asked and I looked at her like she was crazy.
"I didn't want to use my dragon magic remember?" I said and she pouted. "No one is around, I bet they won't even notice." She said. I sighed and told her I'd do it just for her to which she was thrilled. I picked her up bridal style and she frowned. "Can't you turn into a dragon?" She asked. "Mable, that's not possible." It said then spread my wings wondering if I could actually manage this. She threw my balance off a little bit but I managed as we soared through the trees and made the hour walk into a five minute flight. I didn't dare try flying full speed with her in my arms. I landed near the clearing with the mushroom barrier and walked towards it. I used the flashlight I had in my backpack along with the journals and fiddled with the crystal, then pointed it at Mabel and myself. We shrank to be small enough to roam freely in their town. I walked through the barrier but when Mable tried to follow me she was bounced back. I turned around to see that she was gone. I was greeted by the man I had talked to earlier.. "sir dragon! I'm happy you found the crystal." He said happy to see me. "I did, but I brought my sister with me. Why can't she enter the barrier?" I asked saddened. "Is she a human?" The guy asked. I nodded. "That's why. Humans are not allowed indeed the barrier unless with a magical creature." He explained then I had an idea. I left the barrier and held Mable's hand who was crying since she couldn't hear or reach me. I calmed her down then we walked into the barrier together.
"Mable can you understand him?" I asked her and she shook her head. "He said only other fairies can hear each other. They have a specific language." I translated. "Come to think of it, how can I understand you?" I asked. "You have the ability to understand all languages no matter what." He said. I nodded. "Cool." I said and Mable was confused since she couldn't understand us. "We have an artifact she can use that can help." He said showing us to the big tree. "Just who are you anyways?" I asked and he smiled. "I am the elder of this town. Humans would refer to me as a fairy king and my wife the queen." He said glancing at Mabel. "What about me?" I asked. "You are a noble yourself pup. Though I'm not sure of which bloodline I am sure you're a noble dragon." He said fondly. "So what is the big tree?" Mable asked still not understanding. "He said the tree is the main castle and house for noble fairies and other supernatural guests." I translated. "They aren't fond of humans so be careful okay Mable?" I said telepathically. "But you're a human right?" She asked back. "Didn't you hear my story earlier?!" I sighed. "What's wrong sir?" The elder asked. "When we get the translator, could you explain to my sister about what you know about me?" I asked.
"Your human isn't very smart is she?" He said and I let out a small growl. "Watch it." I said dangerously making him flinch. "Sorry sir, please forget about my rudeness." He said frightened. I felt a little bad for snapping but I didn't like it when people insulted my sister. "Please remember I have my rules as well." I said and he nodded. We arrived to the throne room and he opened a drawer under the small golden throne then pulled out a necklace. He handed it to Mable and she great fully took it. "Can you understand me now human?" He asked careful not to make sure he was rude to her. "My name is Mable! What's your name?" She asked instantly. "You can call me elder. I am the king of this town." He explained. "Well, I brought a flower sticker with me." She said and handed him the now miniature sized sticker. I noticed he had the look of guilt in his eyes and smiled knowing he was now hooked onto Mable. "Friends only." I said telepathically to him. He nodded immediately and then showed us around. "Mable, it would seem your brother isn't a human." He said and I frowned at his phrasing. "But he is a good person." He said reassuring me. I smiled sadly.
