Hogwarts the next generation

Chapter 1: Platform 9 and 3/4

                                                                                ...Rose...

Rose Granger - Weasley stood on the platform, looking through the dust nervously, "Mum where are they?" Her brother Hugo whined "They were supposed to be here" Hermione replied, looking around nervously, and then in the distance she saw an excited Albus, a taunting James, and a sad  Lilly.

 "Al!" she yelled and ran towards him "Rose!" Albus said and they met each other and hugged "If you two weren't related I would ship you" James smirked, sneaking behind Albus, "Lil!" Hugo said and the two started doing their signature handshake, she and Hugo were both excited to be reunited with their cousins. 

"Hey mate" Ron said to Harry "Long time no see" Harry said and the two did a warm embrace "Gin!" Hermione called to the smiling Ginny "Hi! How's my favourite sister in law?" Ginny asked "Not bad" Hermione said and they too embraced.

After a lot of goodbyes and promises to write she and Albus stepped onto the train, "Let's try and get an empty compartment" Albus said and the two eventually found one after many searching.

                                                                             ... Albus...

After a while, Rose started biting her lip, something she did when she was nervous, and took out Hogwarts a history, losing herself in it.

He sat there, bored, but he knew better to talk to Rose when she was anxious so he just sat there until a kid with platinum blonde hair, and grey blue eyes stepped into the compartment.

"Hi...Can I sit here?" He asked "Yeah, sure" he replied, the boy sighed in relief and stepped inside taking a seat next to him, Rose still hadn't  noticed he had come in, buried in her book "I'm Albus" he said, knowing his cousin wouldn't look up.

"Thanks, I'm Scorpius" Scorpius said then James came in "Oh hey Al" James said, then he saw Rose deep in reading and put a finger to his mouth.

"Shush" He whispered, and creeped up to her "BOO!" He yelled when he was close enough, Rose dropped her book and James laughed, he chuckled at the sight of it Scorpius smiled awkwardly.

"James! Not funny!" She yelled at him, her best death stare upon her face "And you made me drop my new textbook as well!" she said, clearly infuriated now "Well, have a good first day, I'll see you two at the Gryffindor table" James said and left in a hurry.

Rose looked up and saw there was someone else sitting next to him, her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink "And you are?" She asked "Scorpius" Scorpius replied "I'm Rose, Rose Granger Weasley" Rose relied and Scorpius's mouth dropped a little in awe.

"Not that it's important but what's your surname?" he asked, breaking the tension, Scorpius hesitated, should he tell them? But he chose to tell them  "Malfoy, Scorpius Malfoy" He mumbled.

                                                                      ...Rose... 

Rose almost dropped her book when someone else knocked, clearly wanting to ask if she could sit there, she looked up, it was her childhood best friend Ava!

 She opened the compartment but before Ava could say anything she ran towards Ava"Ava!" she said and went to hug her "Rose?" Ava asked thrilled, Albus stared at them blankly, his cheeks slowly turning red. 

"I thought you didn't have magic parents?" she asked when they broke the hug "You know how my Dad abandoned me?" Ava asked "Yeah..." she said "He was a wizard, I'm a half blood" Ava replied "Cool, now this is Albus, my cousin" she said "Hi" Ava said and shook Albus's hand.

Ava took a seat next to her "Where were we? Oh yeah, Scorpius, I'm not gonna judge you, as my mum told me it's your life not your parents" she said "Really?" Scorpius asked "Yeah don't worry" Albus said.

She and Ava were talking about stuff from their childhood and Scorpius and Albus started talking to get to know each other when a prefect came in.

 "Hey, you four, we'll be arriving soon, you better change into your robes" he said and left, she and Ava left to go change whilst Scorpius and Albus pulled the curtains down.

                                                                           ...Ava...

Ava couldn't believe it when her best friend Rose told her she was going to go to a boarding school, only to figure out she was going to as well, then when she saw her in the Hogwarts Express, and she was lost for words.

As they walked through the train, she was separated from the others and dropped her trunk, out of nowhere someone picked it up "Hey, Ava right?" Albus asked "Yeah... was it... Albus?" "Yeah" Albus said blushing "Thanks" she said, grabbed her trunk, and soon enough they got separated.

'He was nice' she thought 'And cute...Wait? What? He's Rose's cousin I can't do that....But he is cute...But I don't like him or anything like that. Yeah.' she decided. 

"First Years over here!" Hagrid said and Albus and Rose ran up to him and hugged him, she and Scorpius stood around them "Hey Hagrid!" Albus said "Hagrid!" Rose said "Well hello there Rose, Albus" Hagrid said, and led the first years to the boats.

On the boats she sat with Rose, a girl called Lea, and a girl called Violet, Albus was with Scorpius, a kid named Ariston and a kid called Paris. 

Rose was giddy with excitement, she was listening intently to her chattering away and Lea and Violet also started talking after long, Rose told her all about her parents and her family, finally revealing all of her childhood secrets she was forbidden to utter and why they both acted strange in their childhoods.

After a while, Ava's mouth dropped in awe, Rose squealed with excitement "We're here!" she said and there it was Hogwarts, all around Ava heard people talking, she glanced at Albus, she could not keep her eyes off of him, she blushed bright red and looked at Rose instead.

They entered the great hall, and she was one of the first "Abbot, Ava" Mc Gonagall  read from a piece of parchment "Abbot Ava" She read and Rose gave her a slight nudge forward. 

"Hm, Abbot, what to do with you?" The hat asked and she sat there with a terrified look on her face "Better be....GRYFFINDOR!" The hat yelled and she sat down at the table.

                                                                                ...Rose...

After a while MC Gonagall read "Granger Weasley Rose" and Rose stood up and made her way to the hat, they placed it on her head "Ooh, plenty of cleverness, but then again, you are a Weasley...Ok better be GRYFFINDOR!" The hat yelled and Rose sat down next to Ava.

                                                                             ...Scorpius...

After a bit MC Gonagall read "Malfoy Scorpius" as soon as the hat was on his head, it yelled "SLYTHERIN!" so he made his way over to the Slytherin table, disappointed his new friends wouldn't be with him.

                                                                           ...Albus...

Finally they called Albus's name, but everyone started talking "SILENCE" MC Gonagall yelled and all the whispering ceased. 

"Well well, it's another Potter, now where to put you? Plenty of smarts, not bad on courage, plenty of kindness and determination" The hat said "Please be with Scorpius" Albus whispered "Well if that's what you want....SLYTHERIN!" The hat yelled.

The hall went silent but then Scorpius started clapping, then so did Rose she nudged Ava and she did as well.

Albus went over to the Slytherin table and sat next to Scorpius.
