Lips of an Angel

It has been a rainy night today. Wind is howling and the heavy rain are hitting the windows in Ling's apartment. Ling is currently sitting on her couch and watching the rain pouring from the view of her penthouse. It has been a long day of shooting for her new series and the day has been really exhausting due to the heavy scenes the shot today. All she wanted right now is to feel safe and at peace at the comfort of her home. Suddenly she heard her front door opening.

"Hey Hon! Wow, the rain is really pouring outside. It's really hard to drive out there." Ling saw that they are already in the process of removing their jacket and shoes as she was getting up from the couch.

"Hon, are you hungry? I bought some ramen on my way here. Do you want to eat with me?" Ling heard them say it as they were in her kitchen opening takeout boxes.

"You didn't have to come here, Win. It's dangerous to drive at this time. I already had dinner with the team before I left the shoot." Ling answered Win as she watches him from the kitchen door.

"Nah, I wanted to see you, Hon! Come, join me even for a bit, please?"

Ling walked to the kitchen island and ate some of the food that Win brought. It was good food but for the first time in forever she didn't have the appetite to enjoy the food in front of her.

"Do you really not want to eat?" Win asked as he noticed that Ling barely touched her food.

"I'm just very tired and really want to rest after a long day."

"Maybe I can stay with you tonight? Maybe you'll feel better after some cuddles?" Win said while waggling his eyebrows.

"I really want to be alone tonight, Win. I want to rest if that's okay with you?" Ling really hopes that Win doesn't force staying the night.

"But it's raining out there!"

"Hmm." Ling feels that she doesn't have a choice with this and it is really pouring outside.

"Whatever you want. I will wash up now for bed, please clean up after eating." Ling said as she moved away from the kitchen and to the bathroom.

As she washes her face and looks in the mirror, she really doesn't understand why she is not excited for Win to be with her tonight. She is an introvert but Win is her boyfriend and she should be excited to be with him.

As she was finishing her nightly routine in her bedroom suddenly the lights went out. Loud thunder can be heard outside and lightning can be seen from her windows.

"Hon, are you good? Where are you?" Win asked

"I'm in the bedroom. Please get the flashlight and candles from the kitchen." Ling asked. She's not afraid of black outs and thunders but somewhere deep inside her feels worried.

She saw Win come inside the bedroom with a flashlight and a candle to illuminate his way.

"I guess we are going to have an early night, Hon.  Let's go to sleep." Win said as he removed his shirt and jeans so that he can sleep with his boxers only.

"Good night, Hon. I love you." He kissed her and cuddled with her from behind.

"Yeah, good night." Ling whispered as she closed her eyes.

LING POV

Ling suddenly woke up die to her phone vibrating from the nightstand. Upon checking her clock she saw that it is 2am and she only had a few hours of sleep. She was about to ignore when she realized that the vibration pattern is unique set to that one person only. She got up and went outside her room to answer the call.
