My book is inspired by The Originals, with slight bits of The Vampire Diaries. Watching both shows will probably be the best in order to understand the story.

All rights go to the creator Julie Plec and both her shows (The Originals/The Vampire Diaries). I own nothing but the characters that have come from my own imagination.

Original Characters do not belong to me.

I don't want Hope to be a Mikaelson.

Hayley's words from her voicemail echoed repeatedly inside of my mind, creating an endless loop that I feared I wouldn't be able to escape from. I poured what would be my third glass of bourbon, bringing it to my lips as I leaned against the kitchen island, lost in my scrambling thoughts.

I had gotten back to my apartment about two hours ago and the place was both annoyingly and comfortably quiet due to Rue being nowhere to be found. As much as it heavily irked me that she was at Marcel's at this hour of the night, it gave me some time to reflect on the previous day's events that had been both haunting and stressful for me. Once I drove a dagger through my own brother's heart, which not to mention was a glorious mistake, that's when Freya's true intentions seemed to follow. Suggesting that I use my very own niece as a form of bait to lure Dahlia.

Fucking ludicrous.

Which is why her motive earned her an injection of Hope's blood instead.

Call me efficient.

Grumbling vulgar language underneath my breath, I set my drink down, flipping my phone over to reveal the top screen.

Not a word from my girlfriend.

My frustrations increased at the growing problems around me, each issue stemming from the same roots. Every which way I looked; Niklaus's  unwillingness to trust, Dahlia's hunt for Hope, Hayley aligning fully with her pack and Jackson, Freya's desperation for revenge and healing, and Ruth... feeling like I'm withholding her of information and going behind her back.
