chapter 1: the emerald

*Two weeks before the events of episode one*
Izuku's POV:
Men are not born equally, I found that out when I was four when my best friend became my worst nightmare ever since he gained his quirk, what is a quirk you may ask? It is a gene in our dna that gives us super human abilities some good, some bad, the same can be said for the ones with the powers as thousands of people use their Quirks for evil so to combat it the government created hero associations to save people from the villains or just help the community with basic needs, though becoming a hero is determined by what quirk you were born with.

Me? I was born quirkless, but that doesn’t mean I will give up on my dream to become the worlds greatest hero, my name is izuku midoriya and this is my story.

I was on my way to school this morning like normal, now it’s important to know that as I was quirkless I wasn’t really respected by most of my classmates they always looked down on me though the main reason I had no friends was because of my former best friend Kacchan or his real name Katsuki bakugou.

Now the day was alright so far, I stayed out of everyone’s way, did really well on my work l, didn’t even have to eat my lunch in the toilet this time.

Though not all good things last as when I was walking home I heard a voice yell at me.

???:Hey Deku!

Me: *in head*‘crap it’s kacchan!’ *rapidly speaking* ohheykacchanhowwasschoolgreatigottogobyeee.

I tried to run but unfortunately his two lackeys were blocking my path, I say lackeys because I swear the only reason kacchan keeps them around is because they help torture me.

Winged lackey: Hey what’s this?

He noticed a piece of paper sticking out of my backpack and snatched it from me as I was held by the finger lackeys quirk, he then handed it to kacchan and I was scared shitless.

Bakugou: UA entrance exam application?! *Crumpled the paper while enraged* YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN GET IN YOU QUIRKLESS DEKU?!!!

Izuku: *panicking* Well the exam is said to be fairer this year so I might have a shot

Unfortunately, that only made him angrier, before he got an evil grin

Bakugou: well since I know your chances I might as well save you the pain of failing.

He was going to destroy my application! Thinking fast I bit onto finger lackeys’ hands making him recoil in pain as I shoulder barg kacchan, while grabbing the application from him before taking off running.

Bakugou: *giving chase* GET BACK HERE DEKU!

I ran for ages whilst continuously thinking ‘WHY DID I DO THAT!’ before I came across this abandoned building, so I ran inside and hid behind the stairs as the three of them searched for me, I slowly backed up in fear, with my back against the wall before they finally left leaving me to sigh in relief and collapse against the wall.

That’s when the weird stuff happened.
A panel behind me swung open causing me to fall backwards down onto some stairs with the panel closing as I got up.

Izuku: *sarcastically* this is just perfect isn’t it.

I was about to go back through, but I felt something calling me from the bottom of the stairs, cautiously, I peaked round to see what was there.

Turned out there was a bunch of old tech there.

Izuku: it looks like no one has touched this in centuries.

I walk over to a plane in the room there seemed to have been a symbol on it.

Izuku: is that a? *wipes away the dust* it’s a hedgehog face?

Yeah, at this point I was just royally confused for starters how did no one discover this before me, who built this tech and why is there a hedgehog symbol on this stuff?

As I was about to leave, I saw a green glow in the corner of my eyes it was coming from behind the plane.
Leg’s shaking, I grabbed a pipe from the floor ready to defend myself just incase anything tried to attack me, as I walked behind the plane I found the glow coming underneath an old Rag. Using the poll I lifted the sheet off of the object to reveal...

Izuku: a blue diamond? *A.N I’m not wrong, it looks exactly like a diamond and I’m pretty sure someone who doesn’t know what the chaos emeralds are will assume they’re diamonds* what’s a diamond doing here?

Slowly I touch the diamond, when suddenly I felt this surge of power retreat into my body and the overwhelming power was so much that I passed out, but not before I heard a mysterious voice
